Bottled (backlog). Hazy goldeny orange colour with a small white head, which still leaves some lace. Aroma is citrus, some earth, mild mouldy notes as well as some sweetish malts in the background. Flavour is bready, mild earth, grains and some zesty, floral and herbal notes. Quite bitter, but still a strange balance.

Hazy amber beer, small off white head. Suprisingly thick palate for the style and abv. A lot of malt, has a toffee streak and tastes a bit tired. Okay hops - mild orange bitterness. Semi dry finish. Its fine but we really dont need Italians doing dull English bitters - there are plenty already!

Bottle bought at GBBF 2011 and consumed at home on my last day of my summer holiday. Hazy mid brown colour with lasting beige head. Some hedgerow herbry English hops on the aroma. Quite a bit of toffee in the flavour. Good fullness in the mouth. Toffee on the finish, with a touch of bitter zing. Its not a bad stab at an English bitter to be honest. Ive had a lot worse in this country. Hop zing is pleasant without being showy. Some yeast character and the fullness in the mouth is pleasant.

Bottle. Medium orange amber, quite hazy. Aroma is fruity and sweetly malty. First impression I get is coconut milk -- a little weird but strangely good. Lightly toasty, a liitle marmalade fruit. Medium bitter finish. This was a bit of a surprise, in a pleasant way.

Bottle by mail order from Umano liquor store in Kanazawa. Almost a gusher, poured cloudy bronze with tons of rising bubbles and a preposterously huge head. Fruity, spicy aroma, seems more like Belgian yeast, with nice hops. Pineapple, orange, metal. Interesting, inviting nose. Flavor is caramel, grass, a bit of tobacco, earth, iron, and citrus. Nice bitter finish. Very carbonated, though the body is decent. Head is settling into rocky formations like an Orval or something! Decent stuff. A bit out of the ordinary and interesting.

330ml bottle pours a golden orangeish color with a finger of white head leaving a very thin lacing on side of glass. Aroma is very mild fruit and caramel with earthy hop notes. Taste is light fruit and malty sweetness with a peppery earthy hoppy bitter finish. Light body and adequate carbonation. A decent bitter which was quite enjoyable.

Bottle. Hazy amber. Lasting head and lacing. Light apricot and melon scent. Interesting fruity flavour with a nice hoppiness. A cool refreshing bitter. Not extreme just a nice depth of flavours.

330ml brown bottle. Deep golden-orangey pour, unfiltered appearance with some haze and particles. White head, frothy with nice lacing. Light aroma - some malt notes and light citrus. Taste has grains, light caramel, soft background citrus hops -nice orange peel note. Aftertaste has some bright citrusy and leafy hops continuing, pretty good bitterness level. Light body, low carbonation. Decent bitter, pretty accessable.

Wha??? A rating? Say it isnt so. Dumped out a light coppery beer with plenty of silty suspension, a big, bubbly light tan head that sticks to the glass and sticks around for a long time - probably until I drain the glass. Ok interesting aroma - ginger jumps out and doesnt leave, orange peels, bit o earth, smidgen of caramel and somehow something milky without it being milky - its almost like I can smell a mouth feel or something. More ginger in the taste and a good solid familiar bitterness. Tasty hopppppps and spice, dried orange peel, dirty caramel. Somewhat dry and a lengthy smooth bitterness and faint fruit finish this off. Meh.
