COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ingredients: Roast barley, crystal malt, pale ale malt, and British hops. Carrigeen Moss, picked in nearby Liscannor Bay, is used to fine the beer.
With a rich fruity taste and a roasted aftertaste, it tastes like stout used to in Ireland.

badgerben (5188) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - SEP 15, 2007
Dark brown color with a medium Guinness-like head. Slightly grainy aroma. Some coffee flavors. It somehow manages to combine some roasted malt with an interesting tartness.

mansquito (6439) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 29, 2007
Off tap at the brewery at Inagh. This had a creamy off white head with an almost black body. Bitter taste with a bunch of coffee thrown in. Slight watery finish, but still the beer was rich and creamy, but still smooth and easy drinking.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 17, 2007
Had from a 500ml bottle in Vancouver. A nice label design. Scumptuous smoky nose and a perky body that is fruity and full of life. Balanced and long flavor. Surprised this is in the 51 percentile.

McWorta (1627) - LUXEMBOURG - JUL 22, 2006
ireland known for its Guiness and certainly it is nothing to discuss about but now here comes this irish stout fresh from the brewery in Inagh with an aroma rather perplex. The head is chocolate/coffee like. The smell is roasty and tastes in its base earthy. In its appearance it is nearly pitch black but on the sides of the glass hints of ruby are noticed. In flavour it has a strong maltiness and toffee hints, medium in sweet-sourness. A full body with a slight creaminess and soft carbonation are being round of by a long aftertaste,

ColoradoBobs (31) - Colorado, USA - JUL 31, 2005
On tap at the brew-pub, Inagh, Ireland, June 8. Reviewed by son-of-ColoradoBobs, who fashions himself a stout-lover. Black Biddy is a good name -- totally opaque black, with just a hint of garnet if you hold it up to the light. Huge creamy fully-lasting off-white head reminiscent of soft-peak meringue. Excellent sticky lacing. Rich malty bread aroma. Chocolatey, almost smoky roasted malt is followed quickly by moderately bitter hoppy flavor, with a long bitter-sweet finish marked by an upsurge of hops again at the last. Creamy palate, with soft carbonation. Brewed from pale and crystal malts and hopped with Green Bullet and Fuggles hops.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2005 Had it on tap at the brewery/pub in Inagh, County Clare, Ireland. Dark black color with a dense off-white head. Nitrogenated. Nose was roasty. Slightly sweet flavor and slightly hoppy. Smooth finish. Excellent beer. Among the best stouts I’ve tasted.
