Not really sure why people are writing comments after only having a 2 oz sample. This beer is great, everything a Dubbel should be. Slight hops up front, but with a sweet Belgian finish. There’s a reason this beer won silver at the World Beer Cup.
Deep amber....slightly berry-red, with a creamy, off-white head.
Nectary fruit aroma., caramel malt.
Taste is rich caramel, almost chocolate...............
Good stuff. shrubber85 (11322) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 26, 2014

Draught at Bluebeard (I think). It only said "Belgian" on board. Chocolate. Caramel. Toffee. Nice. drdisque (828) - Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2014
On tap at brewery. Great well balanced sweet and malty complex but approachable dubbel. Very nice. thedm (6143) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 12, 2012
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated golden brown colored body and a poor lacing. The weak aroma was candy and malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of dough hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special. Draft sample at IBGWF 12. Poured clear dark color color with medium white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy toasted sweet malt and yeast aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Complex drinkable brew.

Growler courtesy of stfun. Pours brownish red with a tan head. Smells of dark fruit, toffee, some earthy hints, rosey, slightly metallic. Tastes of dark fruit, some hints of chocolate, residual sugar, earthy spicy finish. Some pea like flavors emerge as the beer warms. Block (2688) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 26, 2011
A nice Belgian ale. Light an refreshing with a nice Belgian yeast presence. A lot of flavor but not too strong or overpowering. A good balance and solid anytime beer.
