3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Spicy aroma with a hint of grapefruit. Malt, rye, and grapefruit flavors. Light body with a thin mouthfeel.
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent golden copper with white lacing. Smells solid too; hops and rye with a pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Lacks the rye tinge. Still, decent. petitchouette (14) - - FEB 5, 2013
One of my favorite styles of beer. They did it right. Spicy, hoppy, yet balanced overall. Tmoney99 (14963) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus hop and rye aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Draft at Bier. My least favorite of the beers we sampled. Pours a more amber than orange, sticky offwhite head. Nose is super resiny/dank. Fruity and almost a bit too much, tending to almost a cheese note. Spicy rye comes through as well. On tasting, not totally integrated overall. Sticky hops, high bitterness, faint sweetness. Tons of hop flavor just not really balanced. Meh.

On tap. Aroma is resin and floral. Color is a copper hue with small persistent head. Taste is also resiny, floral, and pretty bitter. Very good. Block (3183) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Probably my favorite beer from Bier Brewery. A nice hops aroma and flavor with a very smooth body. A slight spice from the rye and a very smooth and balanced finish.
