COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A stout brewed with English yeast, German malts and Swiss hops. Blackbier was awarded the silver medal at the European Beer Star awards 2007 & gold in 2009 for the Dry Stout category. It is heavier and sweeter than most dry stouts. Typically, roast and chocolate malt aromas dominate…maybe a hint of coffee? With a full and smooth mouth feel, the strong hop and roast malt bitterness is balanced by rich malt sweetness. Three different roast malts combined with a pilsner malt base result in a complex, black beer. The finish is long and roasty but not harsh.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Roast in the aroma, caramel, roast and a hint of ash in the malty, soft sweetish flavor. Low on carbon. Pleasant. Smooth.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a reddish hue and a huge and very lively, beige head. Sweet roasty nose, quite delicious. Medium body, sweet roasty, some coffee astringency. Very heavy on the roast yet still rounded. Carbonation is a little excessive. 270916

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate dark coffee and malt aroma. Medium dark sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a good rich beer.

330 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, black coffee, light medium bodied, pretty straightforward dry stout, decent flavor for the low abv, some earthy bitterness, decent.

I bought this bottle at amstein, I drank it in Lausanne, relax. It is a decent stout, I appreciate this lovely black color and consistent foam, roasted malt, dry, bitter and some vanilla, a bit watery but it is ok, good one.
