At chez Leon, pours a lightly hazy golden with tiny bubbles medium white head. Notes of clean pils malt and grain, almost in between a pils and a helles. Some corn, toast, and hops. Light to medium body.

On tap, 25cL. @Restaurant Georges, Lyon. A yellow opaque nearly hazy beer with a big white head ; medium retention. Herb, cereal, citrus note. Light sweet, light to medium dry bitter refreshing. Light body, thin texture, good carbonation, dry bitter herbal finish. Overall, correct.

Tap @ Brasserie Georges. Pours.cloudy golden amber with a small white head leaving lace all over the glass. Aroma is clean pils; malty fruity a bit hoppy and slightly sweet. Flavor is nice; malty and sweetish in front adding fruityness and bitterness in middle and funishing with some earthy tones at the end. Finishes dry and bitter.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 9, 2011
750ml bottle from the brasserie, drunk 25th Dec 2010. Cloudy yellowy orange. Small white head. Spicy wheat nose and similar flavour. Refreshing, pretty dry. A bit between styles but if you don’t care about that it’s a drinkable beer. Nice dryness at finish.

750ml bottle at (best before 31/10/2011) @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Thanks to Caspar for bringing this one back from Ungstrup heartland. Caused some confusion. Definitely labelled as Blonde but we believe it is the same beer that is sold as Pils on tap at the brewpub. And, to add to the confusion it certainly tasted far more like a wheat beer than a Belgian style blonde or a Pilsner. However, they also make a Blanche that definitely is a wheat beer. Orangey colour with a haze. Some yeasty notes and distinct fruity esters. Not bad, whatever it is.
