3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very hazy golden body with a brown edge, huge light off white head; Very interesting nose that both have the soft elements form wheat and a red berry fresh fruity touch that matches very well; Big bubbled big carbonation on a quite soft to think texture, a little clay like thick, not all that pleasant, like way to much yeast has entered the beer; It finishes the same, very clay like yeast and a little unpleasant. Not the best Bieres de Ré has to offer.
Bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, La Flotte, Ile de Re, Charente-Maritime, France. Cloudy yellow with a thin white head. It has a yeast, herbal and lemon flavour followed by sweet fruit, vanilla and more lemon on the finish. Ok for the ABV. stupre (538) - Nanterre, FRANCE - MAY 28, 2017
33cl bottle purchased @ l’Ile de Ré. On est bien sur les codes d’une hefeweizen avec un bel arôme de banane. madnorwegian (258) - FRANCE - OCT 28, 2016
Not bad actually. Pretty simple mager style beer. Nothing out of this world but would drink again. VDuquerroux (1957) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - DEC 20, 2015

0,33l bottle from Un amour d’épicerie, La Rochelle. Pours murky yellow with a medium head. Aroma is malts, wheat and yeast. Flavor is malts, wheat, yeast and banana. Decent stuff. maupie (1102) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - AUG 14, 2010
After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a flaky thick dark bond color and a citrusacid taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a citrus touch. This beer smells fruity. sebletitje (10494) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUL 1, 2010
bottle bought @ the brewery.
golden color, light haze, white head.
As with previous beers, keeps a good Hefe style due to the yeast strain.
aroma is yeasty, malty with some musty aromas, possibly some vegetables, concentrated fruits; apple.
Flavors, yeasty, wheat, esters with a lingering yeasty palate and banana, some roasted malt character, musty.
It could be a nice beer, but I think all of them tend to have the German yeast overpower most of the character. I get the idea of the brews, but this Hefe yeast palate brings the score a little lower for the beer.
