33cl bottle purchased @ l’Ile de Ré. Witbier très classique mais qu’on a peu l’habitude de trouver en France. Les codes du style sont bien respectés. StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2016
A cloudy Amber coloured beer, fizzy but no head. A light but typical wheat beer aroma, tropical fruit and spice. Dry and fizzy mouthfeel. The taste again, typical wheat beer flavours, cinnamon spice, banana and mango tropical fruit, plus a white wine light tartness in the background. The finish is tart and fruity, with a hint of spice.
Bottle from Intermarché, Salles Sur Mer, Charente Maritime, France.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A pale yellow opaque beer with orange hues ; yeast sediments ; medium white head with a poor retention. Caramel, candied fruits, raisin, biscuit, light herbs. Medium sweet, light dry refreshing, warming note. Medium body, thin texture, average to soft carbonation, sweet fruity finish, light warming. Overall, a good strong witbier, refreshing, round & warming. sdmmb (1826) - BELGIUM - AUG 25, 2015

0,33l bottle from Un amour d’épicerie, La Rochelle. Pours hazy golden with a medium head. Aroma is malts, wheat and yeast. Flavor is malts, wheat, citrus, yeast, alcohol and coriander. Very nice. Deu (948) - Nantes, FRANCE - SEP 20, 2012
Bottle in Sainte-Meria-de-Ré. Nice but classic white Belgian beer. I still recommend it. henrikb (1263) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2010
Light amber hazy body, to fast disappearing off white head; Very pleasant banana yoghurt aroma, a very small amount of very dense clove aromas backs it very well and brings lots of complexity; very big body soft with huge very fitting carbonation, the larger amount of alcohol is well fitting; Long big warm yoghurt aromas, very long fell, balanced and excellent. Excellent beer the higher abv fits the wheat very well! sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUL 2, 2010
Bottle @ the brewery.
Hazy orange, white head.
aroma, yeasty, fruity and malty with notes of gains and mild bready nose, some banana.
flavors, same lingering yeasty palate with banana esters, malty, with a full body, hints of spices, puree like fruits/tropical, lingering roast, vegetal aspect and higher abv helps this one gain a little ground on the others brewed by Br. de Ré.
I enjoy their beers, but the yeast and the Hefe aspect make most of them light variations of one another, lacking some character. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 14, 2004
Cloudy pale gold to straw color. Very mild aroma.. the yeasty house character which is a bit funky, dry, dusty and an orange that spent too much time under the sun. More of the same on the palate, rather uni-dimensional flavor profile. I dislike their yeast, it’s like it keeps the flavors from any expression. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Extremely dry altogether.
