Bottle. Pours opaque orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet apricot, tart orange, sweet malt and bitter hops. Tart orange flavor up front with some bitter hops and a malty finish. Other than the thin finish, no complaints here. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2009
thanks to Solan! Very floral aroma with traces of funk, smells great! Pours a slightly cloudy golden blonde with a thick white head. Lovely tart flavor, very floral, great brett character, lemon peel, lemongrass, crisp and very refreshing! CanIHave4Beers (4187) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - NOV 23, 2009
Pours a cloudy blonde color with a medium head and a fizziness akin to champagne. The aroma is some light lemon and light barnyard funk with some fresh hay. Rustic! The flavor is bready and bone dry with notes of lemon zest and a very good hop bitterness. Not the most complex thing in the world but it’s perfectly crafted and exactly to my taste! emacgee (4676) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JUL 29, 2011
Man, this one caught me by surprise. Was not expecting the level of bossness that I encountered here. Had a weird cap/no carbonation on opening. Nevermind all that, awesome nose. Bretty and lemony. Notes of lemongrass, white pepper, hay, hibiscus, and citrus zest. Lightly acidic and acetic in the flavor. Lots of lemon rind and a prominent floral character. Very nice. Light body and low carbonation. Huzzah, best biere de garde/mars ever Travlr (24880) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Bottle at Churchkey. Clear golden color, almost flat. Aroma of dried apple skins, lemon, white pepper, straw. Taste is like dry cider with a malt backbone. Very nice.

750mL bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a hazy, bright golden color with some light-colored particulates; lively, bright white head with good retention and medium bubbled lacing. Very pleasant, dry, crisp aroma: toasty apples, crackers, and some basic maltiness; nicely dry and soft. Medium, effervescent mouthfeel: dry and toasty malts (crackers, lightest toastiness), lightly sweet honey and yellow fruits; soft, toasty, especially drinkable Biere de Garde; really nicely put together and balanced. Lengthy finish: soft, toasty dryness, breadiness, light yeast and a touch of yellow fruits. xmarcnolanx (937) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - SEP 1, 2008
Aroma is malty, green, some hoppiness, slightly sour, wheaty and estery.
Taste is crisp, clean wheat, some esters, a slight hoppiness, grassy.
Finish is clean and crisp with a lot of dryness, but strangely finishes wet.
This is very good

Surprised to see so few ratings here. Pours yellow / golden with a white head. The aroma has clean sourness, light yeatiness, nectarine, dry peach and lots of smoothness. Medium body that is lightly rough with minimal lightly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with light maltiness, dry fruit, light sourness, funky yeast, some basement funk, a bit of gentle spice and an overall cleanness. The finish remains clean and has gentle spice with almost wit like traits with coriander and a bit of orange. This was very enjoyable. Bottle at Beerwarming Party. Pours a hazy gold with low, white head. Lots of funk in the aroma, with notes of barnyard and leather, along with some light malts and earthy bitters. Flavor is funky with with leather, light bread, grass and earth. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes earthy and dry with bitter grass. Not too bad. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - MAY 7, 2011
