- quite clear amber beer under a fair and long lasting pink-beige head; light woody with notes of red wine and cherries; smooth palate, low carbonation and quite full-bodied; some sweetness yet pretty dry and smooth, creamy vinous finish - the alcohol content is very well-hidden and the character of the beer as well
From tap. Pours hazy amber to brown with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, slight wineous and smooth fruity. Toasted malty. Toasted malty and wineous, phenolic, slight wooden. Dry malty. Toasted and malty finish. eunck (213) - Hamburg, Hamburg, GERMANY - NOV 20, 2016
Bottle at winter beer day Hamburg. Very complex and quite intense aroma. Red fruits (Monroe), oak wood and clearly more that came from the barrel ageing and the Pinot Noir that was previously in the barrels. Very fine beer! Svesse (8616) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 3, 2016
(Draught at Hopfenreich, Berlin, 25 Aug 2016) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, some oak wood, prunes and raisins. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, raisins, spicy fruit, hints of oak wood and a bitter-sweet finish with a balanced spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with alcohol fairly well hidden. Nice one. Michael27 (2114) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 29, 2016
