COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with roasted walnuts and maple syrup at the new Bierfabrik brewery in Berlin-Marzahn.

Versprochen.

Charakteristika: 19 % Stammwürze I 7,8 % alc. vol I 45 IBU (Bittereinheiten) I Farbe: 150-170 EBC I Karbonisierung: ca. 4,8 g/l

Bottle from Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and light nutty. Flavor is quite sweet, rather bitter and light sour. Dry, moderate bitter and light sour finish. The sour note detracts. 120617

Aroma is pretty weird, a little bit of chocolate, a little bit of nuts and a strong note of bigos (mainly cabbage) Taste is, luckily, better. Medium sweetness, with a bit of sourness. Maybe its an infection? I hope not. Nice aftertaste of nuts.

Tap at the Szimpla Kávézó, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy long lasting off white head. The aroma is a little bretty, roasty malt, some fruit and chocolate. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter with a big smooth, slightly oily, liquorice, roast, hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Priobably slightly infected. No trace of any maple syrup.

Bottle - Dark brown color with nice beige head. Smells really nice of nuts and maple syrup. Taste is more you’re average stout: Coffee, chocolate, dark malts. Medium sweet, medium carbonation. Finish is rather short. Nothing to get too excited about (especially for the price).
