Bottled. Dark chesnut-brown beer, cloudy, thin creamy head. Caramel-infused aroma with nice peachy/sweet floral hops and honeycomb. Some alcohol. Sweet, caramelly and slightly worty flavor. Some raisins and red berries. Somewhat harsh and alcoholic finish. Needs more bitterness for balance. Thick, caramelly/oily body. Rather low carbonation.

Bottle. Yup, it’s an IIPA, but it’s not a good one. Strong and boozy, with lots of malts and hops. But it doesn’t have a purpose, a direction, an agenda. It explodes at leaves a rather unpleasant aftertaste of a bitter-sweet mishmash.

Leicht trübe dunkel orangebraune Farbe, schöne cremige beige Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, reifes Obst, holzig, sehr hopfig, alkoholisch. Geschmack nach dunklem Malz, Karamell, reifes Obst, sehr hopfig, leicht alkoholisch wärmend!

Bottle from Beerhunter111, many thanks my friend. Dark brown color with medium off-white head. Caramel, biscuity malt, citrus hops in aroma. Caramel malt, lot of alcohol in taste, together with toffee, very light floral hoppy bitterness in finish. Good.

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.Aroma has resiny malt, some baking stuff and hints of vanilla. Also some sweet malty notes. Flavour has alcohol, some fruity tones, mild roastiness and resiny fruity notes. Also woody tones. Finishes with lingering hoppiness and grapefruit. A bit sticky at the end of the glass. This has some elements from American strong ales and barley wines. Alcohol is a bit too sharp on this one.

Koelschtrinker (20591) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 28, 2015
11/10/9/9/10/9
