Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A black beer with a huge good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark mild roasted malt, liquorice, some coffee. Taste of dark roasted malt, liquorice, ash, melasse, coffee, nice!

Many thanks to Werckmeister for this bottle! Sweetish grainy nose. The beer starts malty with grainy hints. Deep and thick, roast and caramel with a dry burned sweetness. Long intense aftertaste, roast with a somehow unround sourness in the back, intense dry, burned rubber with bitter sweet grain. Interesting.

330 mml bottle as part of the European Local Swap 3/2017, many thanks to herrklemann for this one. Tasted on the 19/11/2017 at home. Pitch black colour with a tan head with good retention. Aroma of chocolate, earth, roasted malts and coffee beans. Taste is roasty and earthy with a strong bitter coffee finish. Well balanced finish. Next one please!

Bottle, many thanks herrklemann for this long time want! Pitch black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, earthy, roasted malts, some dark fruits and coffee. Taste is roasted malts, earthy, dark chocolate, a touch fruits again. Silky mouthfeel with low carbonation. Excellent and well-balanced classic ImpStout. I had high expectations for this one, and they were not disappointed - beautiful!

vami (543) - Poznan, POLAND - OCT 17, 2017
Thanks to Geiserich. Pours very dark brown with amazing, lasting dense head. Looks great! Smells like pralines with alcohol, roasted malts, some coffee. Alcohol is visible only as a nice alcopralines tickling, quite roasty, semi-bitter, fresh raisins, a lot of raisins in chocolate, quite dry finish. Good oldschool RIS.

Bottle thnx to stefan ! Pours black, ok, light brown head that seems very stable. Smell is oaty, black malts. Taste is very full, creamy, mildly to the sweet side. Oat, some coffee. Intensity in here is where it should be, as is the body and carbo. Very nice, creamy rich imp stout. Not in the same league as the real top-of-the-world examples, but as a local, this sure is a nice one !

Bottle, from trade with Saeglopur, thanks Thomas! Pours deep brown black with a big tan head. Aroma of roasted grains, coffee, chocolate, soy, prunes. Medium malty sweetness, roasted, coffee, cocoa, dark fruits, earthy hops, bitter with light acidity. Medium-full bodied, smooth. Very good.

33cl bb05/2017 courtesy of EU-Swap saeglopur, merci! Natural aromas of vanilla and crème brûlée on an air pillow of a dark body make this pure ImpStout a pure joy to sip, easy to swig. Full-blown sweet Viennese coffee with a dash of caramel-infused whipped double cream. Fruity plum jam underneath, some ash? - An impressive lack of abv fumes or liquorice, usually present in German Doppelbock-amped stouts. Paired with: 80% Bitterschokolade, quirky AT-Regionalkrimi Polt. - Looking forward to trying more hidden AT gems with subtle marketing like this.
