Bottle. Aged for some years. Sampled February 14, 2016. Black with beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt a little chocolate with a hint of plums. In glass it poures a dark beer, with a coffee foam head with a strong coffee aroma and some yeast notes like barnyard, when is tasted it has a full body, oily feel, soft carbonation, and an strong coffee flavor, just aftertaste the hops bitterness is felt. 340 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a dense brown head. Nice and strong aroma of dark malt, roasted coffee and bouillon. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, roasted coffee and molasses. Pours black with a tan head.
Nose shows heavy roasted malt, cocoa, big coffee notes, woody characters and booze. A bit aggressively roasted.
Similar flavours. Very heavy roast with some coffee in the background and some smokey notes.
Nice creamy carbonation.

At just on cool and into a snifter. Produces the darkest of brown with little evident carbonation and a quickly diminishing head. Molasses, bonfire ash, fresh strapped leather, cocoa butter and milk chocolate dominate the nose with a touch of lightly roasted coffee and Ovaltine ™. Sweet, juicy, rounded and malty on the palate. Roasted coffee bean, cocoa and roasted carob, a hint of nutmeg, mace, raw timber, rich molasses. Body is on the lighter side but adequate; it is rounded and flavoursome enough. Finishes dry and yields that alcohol well. I’d be drunkenly mistaken for quaffing a lighter stout. Easy drinking and deceptively strong, but nothing more! Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, plenty of coffee, caramel and wood. Taste is medium to high sweet leading to a moderate bitter and roasty finish. Very good.
