COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Five different dark grains, molasses and freshly roasted African coffee beans went into this rich and decadent sweet-stout. This beer is unfiltered and matured in the bottle and will continue to improve for the next 2-3 years. After fermentation a portion of the beer was matured on medium-toast french oak providing subtle hints of vanilla and coconut.
Pour carefully to avoid disturbing the sediment.

Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, plenty of coffee, caramel and wood. Taste is medium to high sweet leading to a moderate bitter and roasty finish. Very good.

Bottle. Black with a light-brown head. Aroma: sweet cold coffee, medwurst, something vinous. Taste: espresso, coffee grounds, and a kind of coffee acidity, salty licorice, mayonnaise, some chocolate, a very familiar taste from some type of alcohol. Above medium-bodied, average+ carbonation. Jag förstår poängen med den här men den är lite för sumpig.

Bottle 340 ml from erzbierschof.ch. Black beer with tenacious beige foam, lacing the glass. Scents of chocolate, roasted of coffee incredible, cappuccino, dry fruits, molasses and vanilla, hop and hint of wood. Stay supple, unctuous, rich with culinary possibilities.

Sydafrikanskt? Jo, tydligen. Det här var en riktigt trevlig upplevelse och tydligen kan afrikaner brygga öl. Framförallt ger öletiketten mig lite kraftwerk influenser, men jag är trots allt lite efterbliven.

Poors dark brown with a medium dense brown head. Rick aroma, molasses, lots of coffee, toffee and roasted malts. Thick palate, lots of roasted bitterness, coffee and suger giving it a touch of belgian yeast sweetness. Nice

humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - APR 13, 2012
(33 cl bottle from Toft Vin; BBD: November 1st 2013) Pours dark brown with medium, off-white head that recedes quickly leaving a thin film. Some lace. Nose is mostly molasses and bready with a hint of oxidation. Doesn’t improve much as it warms up. Flavour is syrup with notes of coffee and a hint of oak. Carbonation is flat, full bodied, oily texture with a sweet finish. Girlfriend says: "It tastes a bit of candy. It’s okay. It’s very strong though."

bax (1311) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2011
(Bottle 20/6-2011) Large brown head, black color, sweet coffee taste, alcohol level fit the malt body of beer well.

ComradeK (1236) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 6, 2013
340ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a medium beige head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Sweet milk chocolate and whipped cream notes mix with mild coffee in the aroma. Mild herbal hops up front sit over a base of creamy milk chocolate. The chocolate persists into the mid-palate, with the hops being replaced by mild, bittersweet coffee. Irish coffee notes come through in the finish. The flavours in this stout are fairly simplistic, yet pleasant enough, making for a quite enjoyable sweet stout.

Saboreada el 19/04/11 en una copa Oversized. Negro puro y cuerpo opaco. Enjoyed on 04/19/11 in an Oversized glass. Pure black opaque body. Beige foam with small bubbles. Thick layer & lasting crown, lacing rings too. Toasted malts, chocolate, fresh coffee grains & hop aromas. Dry nut & chocolate note tasting. Sweet bitterness & coffee palate.Coffee flavor last on the aftertaste. Full body for a not extremely high ABV beer. A little fat & excessive coffee hints but could be ok in cold weather.
