300ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold, with a huge white head, which lasts reasonably well without leaving much lacing. The aroma is quite strange, with notes of caramel, rooibos and fairy floss, as well as some light funk. Lightly spicy hops up front are difficult to detect through the strong carbonation. They are followed by some mild spicy yeast and a pleasant combination of caramel malt, sweet, estery flavours and rooibos, still obscured by the carbonation. There are some more spicy yeast notes in the finish. This beer actually has some quite pleasant, albeit unusual, flavours, but they are spoiled by its ridiculous level of carbonation. Tone that down a little and it would be quite enjoyable.

Bottle. This did not work very well as a saison. It tastes like a rooibos tea. Nothing wrong with rooibos, but it does not have anything to do with beer.

330ml bottle from Archive. Good saison with a big of a alcohol burn in the throat. Hazy pale amber with a soft white head. Another great African beer.

330 ml bottle @ Cardinal. Unclear yellow body with a huge, foamy white head that stays all night (probably). Not too strong aroma of spices, tea, flowers and soap. Quite unusually in the nose. Flavor is relatively sweet, light pale malt, spices, tea and some kind of unusually bitterness that made me think of tea (try to put the tea bag directly in the mouth when finished a cup of tea). Medium body and a rather long lasting slightly weird aftertaste ending up a bit acidic. Interesting as some kind of Saison, but unfortunately it did not work for me.

Bottle. Interesting beer! The roiboos really works in this saison. It’s sweet like honey, flowery, herbal and funky enough. Good stuff!

Bottle at Bishops arms Bellman. Pours hazy golden with a big white head. Nice tea aroma. Floral taste, light tartness, orange peel. A bit too carbonated.
