Idiosynkrasie (7843) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2016
330ml bottle. Opaque, quasi black colour with average, frothy, diminishing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, malty aroma, hints of treacle, leather, liquorice, a touch of cola. Taste is slightly dry, chocolately dark malty, nuttily, woody, hints of treacle, liquorice, leather, mild peppery spiciness with accumulating effect; hints of coffee in the finish, slightly sticky palate. Rich and manifold, balanced and not overspiced.

McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - OCT 20, 2015
Dark amber with a pillwoy off white head. Good retention. Aromas of roast malts, caramel, herbal spices, vanilla notes dominate and overpower the subtle resinous hop notes. Rather smooth and slick with a bit of a pronounced body. Caramel sweetness with herbal peppery spice notes. Lasting finish. Nice.
