Slightly oily hops. Lightly bitter. Clean malts, fresh hops, light sweetness from hops. Just the way I want my standard IPA. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2016
On tap at Big Al, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is quite fruity, with tropical fruits, bready malts and piney hops. Flavour is similar, with piney hops and tropical fruits. Fairly bitter but not harsh. Much better than the average ratings suggest. Fruity and balanced. Very good. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - SEP 25, 2014
From a tap at the brewery. The pour is an amber with a white head.I taste a bubble gum hop note, medium body, sticky.its ok BillKismet (4041) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 23, 2014
This one pours a nice copper body with a fir head. Feint hop nose and floral smooth body with a hint of greenness reminiscent of a vegetable garden. fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 9, 2014

Red-amber color, with creamy head. Some caramel aroma, with light fruit touch; more pronounced caramel flavor; the aroma is a bit sweaty, and the bitterness is correct, although the announced "big hop" is MIA; there is some residual sweetness. Lack of fresh and aromatic components.
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with a moderate light tan head on it. Nose is a little grassy, but not all that strong, unfortunately. Taste is actually a little citrusy-sweet, which is somewhat off-putting. Not a lot to this, and not really a fan. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 7, 2013
on tap at Waddelís in Spokane.
Pours copper with a white sheet of foam atop. Smells of resin and some bitterness, a bit of weed and lots of pine sap - not impressed. Flavor is bitter - quite bitter. A little bit of sharpness bordering on astringency, a flavor I get in mildly infected stouts. Medium bodied with low carb and a dry finish. Iíve got a pint in front of me, and Iíve struggled through maybe four ounces, Iím not likely to finish this one off unfortunately.
Serving type: on-tap

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2014 Serving: from tap at Prima Margherita.
Aroma: moderate, pine hop aroma.
Appearance: average-sized, creamy, off-white, initial head with very good lacing and mostly diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-amber body.
Taste: lightly bitter, grapefruit initial flavor and moderately bitter, grapefruit finish with average duration.
Palate: medium-to full body with oily texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: excellent. Great aroma, palate and flavor. Not overly bitter. Always a pleasure to drink. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle:   Reddish amber, fiery, sediment floats about, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft pithy and citrus peel nose.   Same on the tongue, a bit brighter, citrus peel and pith with mild
bitterness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Soft sweetness finishes this one off.   Very nice, solid example, bitter yet not biting, with a nice sweet balance.   Well done! bhensonb (15085) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent copper with a slight creamy beige head. Aroma is mostly roastly caramel. Like barleywine. Full bodied. Flavor is hop burning citrus but thereís still that barleywine malt aspect. If I didnít know, Iíd put the ABV around 9%. Not cause of heat, cause of the barleywineness of this beer. Itís bitter and malty. Great combo. Iím thinking this is seriously underrated.
