Pitch black with suitable brown, creamed, lather top. Deep, dirty coffee grain roastiness, indicative of a foreign export style stout. Flavor is only mildly roasty and fairly hopped, with some citrusy notes present. Bitter hop and roast finish. Bradrcr (806) - Renton, Washington, USA - MAR 29, 2009
3/28/09 on tap at the brewery. Aroma is creamy roast with no hop character. Appearance is very dark brown with a well maintained tan head. Flavor is heavy toast forward, slightly sour, with a moderate buttering. Mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, with an acrid malt texture. Overall, a touch harsh, but great for rich malt fans.
