A little darker than expected, the toasted caranel aroma an flavor i associated with ESBs. surprisingly thin, though not fkat. Hops in the background of aroma but a little more forward in the flavor. Malt presence so strong i couldn’t tell if there were fresh hops or not.
Appearance has a dark amber color leaving thin dissipating head and nil lace. smell of sweet caramel malts with a light roast and floral hops. Taste doesn’t have the sweetness as in the aroma with more of stale hops coming through thats a little sour in the end. Mouthfeel is medium with mild carbonation. Bottle in Seattle. Brown ale body, slight haze. Sweet scotch ale aroma, creamy body with tart coppery metallic notes. Not much by way of fresh hop to my taste, maybe it isn’t fresh any more (didn’t see bottling date), or lost in the darker malts. OK beer mhwilk (6) - Alabama, USA - JAN 13, 2013 does not count
Thin lacy head. Tangy tart taste. Not sure what this is supposed to be. Wish I had not bought two bottles.

22 oz. bottle- Pours dark orange to red with a thin ugly head that immediately reduces to a collar of big ugly bubbles, this looks nothing like an IPA. The aroma is sweet and candy like, very little hops. The taste is very neutral, not much taste here, what is there is more sweet malt, a little dryness that I would assume is from the hops. Bomber from LetsPour.com (or similar). Pours dark amber - nearly brown. No head. Sort of a brown ale aroma. Med body. Flavor is rather brown ale. The bottle was only half full, apparently the cap was loose and it leaked. It’s fairly flat. I’d think it should be floral, and it is a little, but it’s much more on the earthy side. No sign of infection. Finish is bitter/earthy. Works for me.

Appearance: Pours cloudy amber with a medium sized off-white head that dissipates to a small ring, good lacing
Aroma: Caramel, toasted malts and herbal
Taste: Matly, caramel, nutty, bready with a bitter herbal
The bottle says ESB, which is more accurate than IPA that it is listed as. Malty, nutty, herbal. I don’t get any hops coming through. I did not like this, footbalmed.
Thanks to 5000 for sending me this as an extra in a recent trade. Andre always manages to send beers from breweries that I have never heard of and this is no exception. The beer pours a brick red color with a small off-white head. The aroma is fairly sweet with some circus peanut notes coming through. I also get some orange and a bit of pine. The flavor is also fairly sweet. There is some grass and iced tea notes, but the sugar and orange notes also come through. There is the slightest bit of bitterness but overall this is a fairly sweet IPA. Fairly odd, but also enjoyable. I will be honest and say I have never really had a beer quite like this one. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
Bottle... Poured deep, hazy, red/amber with a thick forming, light beige head. If I remember correctly I believe the bottle said this was along the ESB style. Which I don’t get at all for a Fresh Hop beer. I mean, this style doesn’t exemplify hops and that’s what is craved with a Fresh Hop beer. Malty and sweet, chewy bread, nutty with some earthiness and pine from hops. Good drinking beer, mediocre Fresh Hop beer. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Draught @ Brouwer’s Cafe:   Ruby hued amber, deep fiery colors, moderate to large foamy tannish head, nice lacing.   Subtle hop nose, big malt bill, or so it seems.   Not real vibrant or hoppy, at least for a fresh hop.   Soft hoppiness up front, nice malt base, clean.   Seems like a hoppy Amber to me.   Yeah, soft earthy/soil on the malt side, otherwise a little nutty.   Very much a hoppy Amber, which is enjoyable.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Sweet malty finish with a nice hop bite.   Tame for an IPA, but as a hoppy Amber its nice. Amber IPA, malty, hops, citrus, well balanced. Everybody on the tour who tasted this one at the brewery thought it was excellent. I liked it because it had something like a dry finish
