Somewhat soapy aroma. This is quite smooth. Not too malty or funky. A nice flavorful irish red. BuckeyeBoy (8859) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 5, 2009
On Tap At Big Al Brewery West Seattle Pours out a nice amber topped with a creamy sand head. Aroma of rich malts and some grain. Tast was a mouthfull of sweet thick malts. Maybe a little touch of wood at the end. Bradrcr (806) - Renton, Washington, USA - AUG 14, 2008
8/12/08 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is all sweet roast malt with strong caramel. Appearance is brown and on the darker side, with a medium maintained cream colored head. Flavor is sweet/sour malt dominant with roast and moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a moderate carb texture and lingering grainy finish. Overall, fairly good with decent complexity; the sweet/sour blend can be a bit strong depending on teperature. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 25, 2008
On tap at Beveridge Place in W. Seattle, WA--Poured a dark chestnut body with a lovely creamy thick beige head and lots of lace. Nose of cashews, cream, and tree bark. Slick, foamy, creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is super clean though a little underdeveloped and wort-like. Overall a highly drinkable a smooth ale. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - DEC 11, 2008

Draft at Strange Brew. Pours murky medium brown with a dense and creamy tan head. Mild, nutty, bready nose, fair amount of malt sugar but not cloying or sugary. Light, crisp body, with bracing and well-placed carb. Nutty, bready, dry mid-palate. Mild and restrained, but well made and very drinkable. humulushound (244) - British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2009
Red-amber and opaque with a minimal white head. Aroma is mild, red fruits, nutty and caramel malt. Taste is scotchy caramel cake, spicy hops and a sweet finish with mild vanilla undertones. Mouthfeel is smooth and pleasing. This ale is nice but could have more in the aroma and flavor. bitbucket (2166) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - OCT 29, 2009
Pours cloudy amber with a lacy off-white head. Aroma of grass and spice. Medium light body, light carbonation. Caramel nut taste with a crisp finish. Surprisingly malty.
