On tap at Brouwer’s Hard Liver 2013. Transparent ruby pour. Fruit up front, caramel and some hop skunk behind. The flavor is really quite clean -- the dominant boozy fruit note washes right away. Draft at paratii. Pours a murky dark amber with golden edges and a dense and creamy tan head. Big sweet caramel and honey nose. Creamy thick body with a surprisingly lively carb presence for so long in the tank. Toast, caramel, nuts, honey, tobacco, and leather on the mid palate. Long tangy sweet fresh cut oak finish. A: Poured a ruddy orangish color with a white cap and some good lacing leftover after a few minutes
S: Yeasty with some bread and candy sweetness on the nose
T: A nice blast of candy sugar, some bread with a unique flavor I can describe as almonds, some light residual sugar
M: Medium to bog body with a nice sticky and light booziness
O: Very good. I am usually not a Big Al fan but they nailed this. Tasty and easy to drink.

On tap for Hard Liver ’12, pours an opaque orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma of tropical dried fruits, hops, toasted bread - slight stale quality. Flavour of dark dried fruits with a bit of tropical fruits, liqueur, booze and hops. Well-balanced with only a few off-notes. Very good.
