This pours a hazy, yellow color with a slight head. The aroma is weak with wheat and lemon citrus notes. The taste is fair with wheat and citrus notes. Since it’s brewed at Steven’s Point brewery (according to the bottle), this is high average brew but nothing innovative as it’s basically another take on Summer Shandy with a thicker texture. The finish is clean with a lingering citrus taste. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 18, 2014
Bottle @ home, courtesy of Andy from Secret Krampus. Lightly hazed golden pour with a thin white head. Strong soap smell to this. Some bread, apple, tea, and flowers. Pretty watery, too. Flavor is watered down tea and soap. Slight lemon and apple. Very watery, low carbonation, and thin. Not good. nuplastikk (6312) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Tap at Big Bay taproom. Hazy yellow body, big creamy, thick head. Nice banana clove aroma. Similar taste, but comes off a little sugary. Not that bad, just comes a little cheap, grainy. Frank (4208) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 15, 2013
This one is OK. I was expecting sort of a light pale ale but this is more like a mild hefe. The nose isn’t much to speak of a bit of bready yeast and that’s about it but a juicy banana character comes out when you taste it and that’s pretty nice. This is a bit on the sweet side which brings out the banana but it is on the mild side as far as carbonation and I think it could use a bit more zip. Like I said: OK. bartlebier (4010) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2013
Draft at Three Lions Pub, Shorewood, 22viii13. Brewpub-style, hastily concocted light wheat ale with flat aroma, dominant grainy malts and just a whiff of lemon rind. Sticky palate, refreshing, as watery. Miles away from the naturally rich aromas of a bottom-fermented Weizen: So far, wheat and ale are elements of separate traditions I would for a change not mix...

A light and refrshing ale, crushable ona hot summer day, good change of pace for heavier brews. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Straw yellow with a very, very, very large white head that sticks around. Aroma is grassy with hay, wheat, banana and noble hops. Taste of wheat and lemon with mild banana and heavier yeast. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - SEP 1, 2012
(bottle) pale gold with white head. Banana and clove aroma. Flavor was banana, clove - fairly typical hefe Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 8, 2012
Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up sweet honey and banana notes with accents of sweetened lemon and a hint of black pepper.. on the sweet side, but it was solid. The flavor found sweet bananas and lesser honey at the core, with sweet and tart wheat around.. picked up peppery notes and spicy yeast over more banana on the finish. Light-medium bodied with higher, filling carbonation on the palate.. good mouthfeel, and very easy-drinkin’. Beerbird33 (1) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 19, 2012 does not count
Poured from 12 oz bottle. First whiff of aroma yields nice banana tone. Color is a orange and yellow bright blend. Head is pillowed foam and holding well. Taste hints of banana, lemon zest, and cloves. A nice malt backbone with a nice citrus hop zing on the back end. Very refreshing and tasty. Mouthfeel is light bodied. Can see this being very easy to session a few of these. A very enjoyable beer.
