Is semi similar to a honey bock buA fairly good Kolsch or Cologne style beer meaning it is supposed to be light, a good summer beer, refreshing, and more complex than usual for a lighter beer. Given that this is a refreshing summer lager that is quite sweet, with minimal hop bitterness, some malt in flavoring and with minimal complexityet having subtle honey flavors. Overall I would recommend this on a hot day and liked it. It is semi-similar to a honey boch and going with that is my 2nd favorite honey boch-like after New Glarus’ Cabin Fever and my favorite Kolsch bier by default as of 6-7-11 as it is the only one I’ve had yet.
Straw color with a smaller white head. Some floral and minty aromas atop a very light pale malt to flour scent. Light sweet start that leads to sharp to crisp bite with a decent pale malt following. A hint of saltiness. And an acidic linger that distracts slightly. 2/11

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Andy from Secret Krampus. Pale straw pour with a short lived white head. Apple juice, corn pops, sugar, and just a lot of sugar. Slightly burnt aroma. Grassy hops. Flavor is very bland. Mostly sugary cereal/corn pops. High carbonation, apple juice, and a bit of grass. Kind of burnt and soapy, too. This is no wave.
