Draught at the brewpub. Near black. Very roasty with lots of coffee and dark chocolate. Dry with medium body. The finish has lingering licorice and bitterness. A lovely, dry stout. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2009
Huge nitro head. Near black body. Roasty, coffeeish nose. Light, Irish-style body. Good roasty depth. Creamy. Fudgey and enjoyable, and reasonably Irish. Sammy (12099) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 21, 2009
Had on cask at the brewpub in Coral Springs. Fairly weak sweet stout, with some bitterness. So bittersweet. Dark brown colour with some white head. No like too much. hopscotch (11049) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Nitro… Pitch black ale with a small, ultra creamy, khaki head. Terrific retention. Restrained chocolate nose with whispers of butterscotch and vanilla. The flavor offers plenty of typical, nitro-induced, dry stout characteristics. Chocolaty with hints of darkly roasted coffee and muted charcoal or ash. Light to medium-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel with low carbonation. Lengthy, acrid, bone-dry finish. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 14, 2009
Tap. Black pour, big creamy light colored head. Aroma is malty andhas some notes of espresso, molasses and chocolate. Flavor is creamy as all hell and has some nice roasted malt flavors finishing with a bit of coffee and chocolate. Well done.

Tap at FBGF 2009.
Pours black with mocha like head.
Aroma roasted malts with light coffee aroma,.
Taste of roasted malts and light chocolate with a mix of hops. Finish is crisp with light notes of coffee.
Tasty, but not groundbreaking. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2009
On nitro at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours deep dark garnet with copper edges with nice creamy nitro enhanced mocha head. The moderate aroma has roasty malts, a bit of burnt malts, a touch of caramel sweetness and molasses. The taste is roasty, modest burnt malts and touch of grainy malts. It then becomes somewhat burnt by midway to go along with the associated roasted malts astringency. Into the finish an underlying thin layer of earthiness is noticed as well as a hint of molasses. kaser (6220) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Poured from bottle. Bomber. Black with tan head. Roasted nuts and burnt leaves taste. Super rich. Coffee notes. Very bold stout. Good shit markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 4, 2010
For a regular stout, I thought this one was pretty darn good when I had it on draft at Big Bear. Pours stout brown with a tan head. Nose is cocoa, coffee, roast, dark chocolate, and a tiny amount of bitterness. Flavor is similar with dark fruitiness in the background and lingering cocoa/ chocolate character in the finish. Nice stout. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 24, 2009
Black with thick tan nitro head. Rich cocoa aroma with some chicory. Silky creamy mouthfeel. Rich chocolatey body with coffee too. Simple, straightforward, smooth and good.
