On tap at the brewery. Almost black in appearance with a beige head. Aroma of roast, light coffee, tobacco, cocoa and bread. Similar flavor, adding some spicy hops, pine and a hint of charred oak. Thin, watery body. Meh.

On tap @ Big Beaver. Very dark brown with an off-white head. Ash, roast, and acidic coffee. Cardboard, celery, and some butter. Flavors of roast, ash, butter, and acidic coffee. A bit of cardboard and bitterness on the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is pitch black son a small tan head and decent lacing. Grapefruity, roasty, light cocoa, grass, and bready aroma. Taste is roasty, grapefruit, light brown sugar, orange peel, vanilla, and bread with a light bitter finish. Medium body with sod carbonation. Palatable.

Tried this one the other day while at the brewery. Has a great hop aroma, followed by a smooth chocolaty scent. Very pleasant hoppy flavor, full bodied. Would drink more.

Tap @ Big Beaver. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. Spicy, piney hoppy, roasty malty aroma. Burnt, charred malty, roasty chocolate, piney, bitter flavor. Not bad.

On tap at Big Beaver poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromasof roastiness, grapefruit, pine and light charcoal. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of roastiness, pine, light grapefruit, light earthiness and a hint of charcoal with a smooth dry bitter lingering roasty finish.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark black pour with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some roast, pine and grassy herbal notes. Taste is simple with caramel, toffee and roast, touch of earth, grass and pine come in, slightly herbal earthy finish.

Clear black with a light khaki head and good lacing. Complex aroma full of pineapple and grapefruit/orange zest, with an earthy roasty dark sweetness. Flavor is mostly roasty dark malts with a finish of citric bitterness and lingering roasty caramel. Not bad, just a little uncomplex.
