On tap at Big Beaver poured a cl;ear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of oak, roastiness, carmel, cocoa, light vanilla and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of oak, vanilla, roastiness, cocoa and lighe coffee with a smooth dry lingering roasty oak finish. Dark brown, almost black in color, with a thin, light brown head. Great aroma of chocolate roasty malts, and sweet vanilla toned bourbon. The taste blew me away. Rich and big chocolate tones, without being too sweet, meld with not-too-harsh bourbon tones, mixing in a little vanilla and finishing sweetly. A fat dessert stout. It’s more complex than I’m letting on, but those are the only discernible flavors. It’s lovely and creamy and layered, and I loved every drop. On tap @ brewery. Dark brown appearance with a brown head. Light, sweet whiskey and dark roasty, chocolatey malty nose. Somewhat boozy, not all that smooth whiskey flavor over a dark roasty flavor.
