Tap. Pours black with tan head. Aroma if vanilla, chemicals, hint of bourbon. Taste is repulsive, so chemically, thin, plastic, low carbonation. Overall, this is one of the worst beers I’ve ever tasted. Horrible. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - SEP 23, 2014
(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon, chocolate, light vanilla, and oak. Flavor of roasted malt, dark fruit, bourbon, and cocoa with a dry finish. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 7, 2013
On tap @ Big Beaver. Black pour with an off-white head. Really, really watery. Roast, toast, and grass. Slight ash. Flavor is water, roast, and ash. Watery, some bitterness, and cocoa. Kind of bland, at least. ajnepple (6845) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 1, 2013
On tap at William Oliver’s. Black with a tan head and nice lacing. Roasted malt aroma with coffee and cocoa, mild dark fruits. Similar flavor, pretty smooth feel, light body for a stout with an odd finish. Not too bad. zoucrew102 (1993) - - FEB 9, 2013

On tap at Big Beaver poured a cl;ear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of oak, roastiness, carmel, cocoa, light vanilla and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of oak, vanilla, roastiness, cocoa and lighe coffee with a smooth dry lingering roasty oak finish. Sample at the brewery. Comes dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and bourbon. Taste is similar. A bit of alcohol at the finish. Rich and creamy. Very nice. onceblind (10114) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 8, 2011
Dark brown, almost black in color, with a thin, light brown head. Great aroma of chocolate roasty malts, and sweet vanilla toned bourbon. The taste blew me away. Rich and big chocolate tones, without being too sweet, meld with not-too-harsh bourbon tones, mixing in a little vanilla and finishing sweetly. A fat dessert stout. It’s more complex than I’m letting on, but those are the only discernible flavors. It’s lovely and creamy and layered, and I loved every drop. Not terribly boozy or warm, a plus in my book of spirit-infused stouts. cubs (10677) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 18, 2011
On tap @ brewery. Dark brown appearance with a brown head. Light, sweet whiskey and dark roasty, chocolatey malty nose. Somewhat boozy, not all that smooth whiskey flavor over a dark roasty flavor.
