fuck yea, pumpkin beer! bottled october 2009 taken down 12/5/2009 provided by ucusty.
dirty bronzed amber pour with a small soft whitish head.
it smells like pumpkin pie... clove, ginger, caramel, vanilla, nutmeg and mild cinnamon with just a noticeable touch of grain.
the flavor is the same... marked lactose note, vanilla, earthy pumpkin sweetness and caramel malt with a nice light bitterness on the finish. it lingers like a piece of pumpkin pie.
medium bodied with prickly carbonation... crisp yet smooth and creamy. 7/3/7/3/14/3.4 oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Bonus- thanks goryshkewych. Clear amber pour with no head to speak of. The aroma is massively spicy- cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, clove, coriander, and sweet caramel malt. The flavor is also on the sweet side- creamy pumpkin pie, caramel, toffee, and the whole gamut of spices previously mentioned. The palate is super smooth and caressing- perhaps even suede-like. The finish is semi-dry, crisp, and clean. I quite enjoyed this little number- thanks George. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Orange copper pour with very minimal head. Aroma is impressively spicy, with loads of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and a touch of caramel malt. Flavor holds much of the same spice, but in a creamer form, much like a pumpkin puree. This would clearly go beautifully with a nice homemade pumpkin pie. Palate is medium bodied, and the spice adds a nice crisp touch to the finish. Solid brew for the style.
