Very nice light fruity smell, taste is a little more bitter and bold than a blue moon...more coriander perhaps? Not great and degrades a bit with time ..can?t place it...just a bit funky..think too much corriander...John says finishes with hay...I agree!

Old rating. Yellow Amber colored. Belgian yeast, spice, cereal grain, out of balance and a little medicinal. Pass.

Hmm this one smelled really good but went downhill from there. On draft, poured an average slightly hazy yellow. Had a fresh yeasty and tropical fruit aroma, classic fruity Belgian ale characteristics. Taste was clove, sweet candy yeast, some wheat, perhaps some caramel malt, however there was also a prominent boozy finish; the exceptionally high ABV for the style was very obvious. Mouthfeel went from exceedingly carbonated at first to very flat, with a boozy tang throughout. Other than the unpleasant alcohol notes, was an enjoyable sweet Belgian style ale, maybe I'll give this a second chance another day.

12 oz bottle. (Food Lion) Boone, NC.
Cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Belgian style yeast, malt, spices and some fruitiness in the aroma. The flavour is yeast, mild fruity hops, malt, spices and some alcohol. Passable.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Boulevard Ales pint glass From: Trader Joe’s in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C. Price: $1.67 (I think) Purchased: July 26, 2014 Consumed: July 28, 2014 Misc.: N/A Poured a honey, golden hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white head that went away quickly. Minimal lacing on the sides of the glass. Minimal retention on the top. Smelled Belgian spices, kiwi, apple, grape, banana, cloves, cinnamon, slight wintry whiff, peppery spices and caramel. Tasted pretty close to the nose with caramel, kiwi, Belgian spices, apple, green grapes, cloves, banana, slight peppery spices, cinnamon and still that wintry mix. Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, fruity finish. A pretty good Belgian beer overall.
