Draft. Poured cloudy reddish amber color with a minimal fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate raspberry wheat aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet raspberry flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable fruit beer.

Sample at the Gaylord location: Pours an orange-gold color with a thin white head and spots of lacing. Aroma of raspberry and wheat, surprisingly enough. Light-bodied and crisp with an airy tart raspberry flavor, along with a touch of wheat and malt. The finish is bubbly and fruity. Not overly fruity which is a plus, but all in all pretty average. On tap: Real light raspberry aroma, and that could be only because I expected one. A little dirty wash cloth in there. Light hazy amber with an off-white head with a yellow tinge. Flavor is very light raspberry. Watered down. Light hops in the finish. Too light, even for a wheat. muzzlehatch (4959) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 17, 2006
5 oz draught sample at the Gaylord, MI location, July 2006. Whoah, a raspberry wheat at a suburban-type faux-Northwoods brewpub in July? Who would have thought it? Well let’s see what this rarity has to offer....faint haze to the red-tinged thin body with a small ring of lasting head....fresh just-ripe berries in the nose, touch of pale malts with the faintest hint of caramelized and burnt qualities....the body is pretty dry and fairly sour/tart with a bit of underripe berry sweetness, touches of pepper and orange towards the finish, rather thin and watery. OK for what it is, anyway. Nuffield (4171) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - FEB 15, 2003
Light color, slightly cloudy, nice thin head (nitro induced?). Raspberry hangs with it for a while, then a later bitter aftertaste. Slightly watery, but I like this reasonably well. (on tap, Grapevine, TX location)

Gaylord location, from a fresh growler. Straw-golden body, thick off-white head. Soapy wet hay aroma with hints of tart raspberry, but not dominant or overwhelming. Grassy, earthy body with that same wet hay characteristic, light sweetness with subdued raspberry notes. Thin-bodied, light. Bitter earthy aftertaste. The different elements don’t seem to come together too well. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2006
out of growler...reddish golden body with tiny head...aroma is of grass and raspberry...flavor is very grassy as well, with some raspberry sugars...aftertaste of cereal (TRIX!!!)...okay palate Panzuriel (2256) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - SEP 3, 2002
A nice refreshing Wheat beer with a hint of raspberries that is not overpowering, but is certainly present. Very interesting beer. Not for a non-raspberry fan. Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - NOV 14, 2004
Tap: Amber lager in color with no head. Couldn’t get any raspberry aroma only a slight malty aroma. Watery/thin body. Only a slight hint of raspberry in the taste. Not meaty enough for a wheat. Overall below average wheat. Andrew196 (1903) - Katy, Texas, USA - MAY 27, 2002
Interesting beer....I have never seen thic color in a beer, it was a misty pink/beige. Fruity beginning. Pleasant raspberry/malt flavor. Not very complex but quaffable.
