Copper color with a soft white head. A red ale with more roasted edges and a slight earthy hoppiness.
Draft at the source. Hazy amber color, medium off white head. Aroma of earthy caramel. Taste is bittersweet toast. OK tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2013
UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Jeff! Dense, copper-red color, translucent throughout. Beige tinted, soapy head froths up and falls just as quickly, leaving some wet lacing on the glass. Aroma is... strange. Ash, like burnt cigarette ash, staunch pines, light citrus & orange peel. Unexciting aroma, really. Taste isn’t a great improvement, as the beer is still very mild and a little lackluster. Light orange, citrus, heavy burnt ash, pine needles, and some back-end oily hops. A little bit of sweet bread from the malt. Not as "dark" or caramel-y as expected for a red. Wasn’t a fan of this one at all. penstemon (224) - Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours deep reddish-orange with an off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly roasty, with brown bread and caramel. Taste is dominated by toasted malt, with some bitter resin. The malt hid virtually any aroma/flavor hops. This beer came across as pretty one-dimensional. decaturstevo (6253) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Deep copper with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of light caramel malt and floral hops. Light caramel malt, floral hops, and pepper. Medium bodied and a tad fizzy. Sledutah (7725) - Utah, USA - APR 29, 2013

Appearance: Pours clear dark amber with a big frothy off-white head and lots of sticky lacing
Aroma: Malty, bready and caramel
Taste: Toasted malts, toffee, bready with a bitter grapefruit finish
Red brown colour. It’s a typical amber - sweet and malty with a light hop finish. BVery (10609) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 14, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap. Reddish amber pour, white head. Dusty earthy malts, light sweetness, not too bad. Had this at Todd English Pub in Vegas. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUL 24, 2012
Pours a caramel color with aroma of malt, and typical red smell. Taste is mildly sweet with a malty flavor that is simple. This is an easy drinking beer that is clean tasting. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2012
On tap at Freakin Frog. Pours clear amber with a creamy eggshell head. Aroma is big malts, bread. Very malt forward with a touch of bitterness. Very reminiscent of Fat Tire. Not bad, but a style I don’t like much.
