Appearance was clear reddish brown with creamy lasting tannish 3 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are raoasted caramel malts, deep fruits of date, fig, raisin and cherry. Taste are roasty, toasty ryeish sweet malts with hints of spicey hops. Palate is soft smooth creamy CO2 with meduim body, then average length smooth clean rye malty finish. A good Irish ale... good local brew for style. gnoff (10458) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2012

On tap at the Draft House. Served a dark amber color with a small head and some lacing. Mild aroma of caramel sweetness, fresh grain and a hint of citrus. Flavor of some caramel sweetness, fresh grain with a mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp and clean. Easy drinker, good for a few. Fits well with watching sports. unclemike (3124) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - SEP 16, 2011
Nice deep amber color with a soft notes (slight hints of mixed fruit). Sweet in taste with a nice kick of liquor towards the end, but a little too light/watery on the palate.

Draft at the brewpub. Reddish pour, with an off-white head. Caramel, sweet malt, and light fruit notes. Pretty light and boring, I am not an Irish ale fan. kathouse (1893) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUL 18, 2011
Pretty red color from the caramel malts. Noble hop character balances well. Toffee and caramel flavor finishes with a bitter hop taste. baraciisch (3239) - California, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Mahogany-reddish in color... Aroma is minimal malty sweetness, fairly weak aroma... Fairly sweet malt flavor, notes of caramel and toffee...alcohol is fairly prevalent, not the best red... Not very balanced and not the easiest to drink... Below average...
