ineedbeer (2232) - Oakland, California, USA - FEB 8, 2015
On tap at Bistro DIPA festival.
Aroma is similar to sweet unfermented mamalt with medium light hop notes and a hint of alcohol.
Pours a clear, copper gold with a large, fairly thick tan head.
Flavor has a decent hop profile, but the under attenuated malt profile really detracts from the beer and is too sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, an alright beer but it was way too sweet and the malty with a fairly average hop profile with a citrus and pine resin. Fantomasus (291) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 26, 2015
Pours a shadowy gold with a brilliant white head of tightly packed bubbles (Brussels Lace and a rare [from me] five for appearance). Potent although simple aroma profile: hay, grass, cheese, and alcohol. The taste is actually incredibly balanced... I’m surprised for some reason. Nice but unremarkable palate. Would buy again. Recommended. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JAN 22, 2015
On tap at Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA.
Clear amber with an off-white head and very good lacing.
Aroma of pine resin, floral hops, citrus and butterscotch.
Taste of floral hops, caramel, pine, pineapple, grass, grapefruit and other fruit.
Medium/full body and medium carbonation.

"a nice enough dbl ipa that would’ve done better not being stacked up against the Big Boys. not a hop monster, but still well hopped and bitter. medium bodied and thickish. fresh hop aroma, a little more malt heavy flavor profile." Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Ale Alpharetta. Not sure this was that fresh, actually notes indicate a year old almost. Taste was old malts, but in a clean way. Caramel, faded piney hops with a linger bitter finish. Would have certainly been better with some freshness. GTAEgeek (2338) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 20, 2014
Sample at Ale Alpharetta. Pours light yellow, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is floral hops, resin, and butterscotch. Very bitter, but with a nice, malty sweetness. Medium body, with a thin, astringent, chalky, and grainy mouthfeel, that somehow ends up being very pleasant. This is an over-age IIPA that’s aged surprisingly well. olr1984 (1500) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 16, 2013

Bottle pour golden. Nose slight soapy pine, cat, hint of old spice. Taste fruity hop, pine, then bitterness. Some sweetness in the mid palate, long bitter finish.
