Sample at Aces & Ales in Las Vegas. Pours a clear pale amber color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy hops, pine and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. alexsdad06 (10672) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUN 21, 2013
22 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma has grass, spicy and resiny hops with some toasted malt. The flavor has grass and mild resin with a toasted malt backbone and decent bitterness to the finish. Smooth mouth feel. On tap at the brewpub, Vegas. Light amber, hazy, with a thick off-white head. Surprisingly, this is not nearly as hoppy as the Dirty Dog IPA. Given the freshness and abundance of hops in the regular IPA, I had high expectations for this imperial version. I was very disappointed. Not that this beer was bad, just woefully underhopped compared to the excellent Dirty Dog. Oh well. drfabulous (8488) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 16, 2013
22 ounce bottle at Freakin Frog. Owner thought this was special and we would want it. Overpriced, of course. Hoppy. Pine. Grapefruit. Best of the Las Vegas beers I had. kathouse (1932) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Pale golden from the tap with a thin white foam. Big aroma of tangerine and grapefruit. Strong piney bitterness with moderate body. Finish is more hop bitters and dryness. Pretty nice.

Draft. Clear medium light gold with a one finger white head, good enough retention. Citrus dank dry hopped nose, some pine and cracker malt behind. Flavor follows, not getting any sweetness, but the bitterness wasn’t too crazy, either, peaking at a 5. Some alcohol noted, bone dry finish. Medium body, light to mod carbonation. Pretty tasty, but seems to be lacking a little something. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Strong Ale 2012. Golden pour with a white head. Plenty of citrus hops such as tangerine, orange, and grapefruit. Notes of pineapple, some floral, and pine hops, too. Good malt sweetness of caramel and biscuit. Really nice fruity hop flavor. Pineapple, tangerine, and grapefruit notes, some mild pine bitterness, and a light floral quality. A bit of biscuit malt and some caramel. Wittales (762) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Appearance was hazy orangish amber brownish with creamy diminishing off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are citrus fruits, pine, resin and sweet caramel malts. Taste are fruits of grapefruit, orange, lemon, pine, resin, sweet rich malty backbone. Palate was soft creamy CO2 with full body, then citrusy lasting smooth balanced finish. Wonderful local brew...Yummy HopMasterFlex (108) - Carlsbad, California, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Poured a nice golden color with a tiny white head. It had a lot of carmal malts and hops aromas. Sweet and malty with a decent hop taste to balance it out. Very drinkable with a smooth finish. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2011
A golden DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a classy sweet malt with cotton candy, c-hops, mangoes, tropical fruits. In mouth, an oily smooth DIPA with floral and resinous hops, very classic. On tap at Tenaya Creek BC, Jan 29 2011.
