UPDATED: NOV 21, 2007 2007-10-02, 8.3% ABV, draught at Big Dog’s Cafe and Casino in W Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, 8-4-9-5-18=44
Cloudy orange-copper color. Huge hoppy aroma, well balanced between fruits, resins and Brie cheese. Strong body, good malt flavor, a lot of sugars, huge caramel-toffee flavor, huge hopping, both resiny and fruity. Very long and strong final. Very powerful.

2006-03-27, 8.6% ABV, draught at the brewpub in N Rancho Dr., Las Vegas, 8-4-8-5-15=40
Light amber color. Fruity, malty, resiny, strong bitterness, but less complex than the Dirty Dog IPA. One of my best draught beers in Las Vegas.

500mL can, pours a cloudy deep dark orange with a light head. Aroma is extremely malty, with lots of caramel and not enough hop resins. Flavour is extremely malty and cloyingly sweet, with cloying brown sugar, subdued hop resins, and nasty cloying sweetness, almost a tartness to. Really bad.

brokensail (16436) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Strong Ale 2012. Golden pour with a white head. Plenty of citrus hops such as tangerine, orange, and grapefruit. Notes of pineapple, some floral, and pine hops, too. Good malt sweetness of caramel and biscuit. Really nice fruity hop flavor. Pineapple, tangerine, and grapefruit notes, some mild pine bitterness, and a light floral quality. A bit of biscuit malt and some caramel.

Growler poured a clear amber with a small but lasting white head. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, oranges and a hint of carmel. Palate was medium bodied and dry. Flavors of grapefruit, orange and light carmel with a smooth, lingering bitter finish.

Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2011
A golden DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a classy sweet malt with cotton candy, c-hops, mangoes, tropical fruits. In mouth, an oily smooth DIPA with floral and resinous hops, very classic. On tap at Tenaya Creek BC, Jan 29 2011.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy orange with a large, frothy cream colored head, long retention with great lacing. Aroma is moderate citrus, pine and fruity hops with medium bready malt and tropical fruit esters. Flavor is tropical fruit esters, medium doughy bread malt, heavy citrus, pine and fruity hops and bitterness with a medium dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation.

Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Sample at Aces & Ales in Las Vegas. Pours a clear pale amber color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy hops, pine and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

hopdog (12437) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2008
On tap at the 2008 Strong Ale Festival. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, citrus -orange peels-, and light caramel. Tastes of citrus -the same citrus peels- and lighter maltiness.

"a nice enough dbl ipa that would’ve done better not being stacked up against the Big Boys. not a hop monster, but still well hopped and bitter. medium bodied and thickish. fresh hop aroma, a little more malt heavy flavor profile."
