Sampled at Julios Mass Brewers Fest. Poured dark brown with some reddish highlights. Dense, creamy tan head. Chocolate and oatmeal cookie aroma. Lightly sweet flavor with more oatmeal cookie. Medium body, but a bit thinner than you might expect. Pretty nice.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is dark, dark brown with slight mahogany--almost opaque--with sparkle at the outside of the glass and fleeting, tiny light brown head with trace lacing. Aroma is dark fruits, chocolate, rich roasted malt. Taste follows aroma. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, true to style and delicious but not a standout for the category.

a perfectly solid stout if ever there was one. from the can its a little citrus-y, but taste is straight up middle of the road stout. a little thin in the palate and flavor profile, but still decent all the same.

Gerry Dog!!! Pours a dark brown/black with a thick tan head. Aroma has nice notes of dark chocolate and firm roastiness. Flavor follows suit and adds some nice earthy hops and a subtle sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish dries and lingers a bit with some roasty notes. A nice drinkable stout that I could drink all night!

On tap. Black as night pour. Thin head. Subtle smoked chocolate and dark malt aroma. Earthy hops in the background. The body is a little less than medium. The taste is mildly sweet but there is also a kind of astringency to it. Lingering smoked finish.

Bottle in NH with friends. Pours dark brown with a fine, beige cream head. Toasty bread on the nose with hints of cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with mellow roast, light cocoa, restrained earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Light dryness at the end with subtly bitter cocoa, faint roast and more toasty brown bread. Solid stout.
