Tap. Chicago area - Solid American Style Pale Ale from The Ram - one of my favorite Chicago area brew pubs. Solid hoppy nose and floral finish. A good solid pale. Very drinkable. I always get one while I’m there. Recommended.

a fair to midland APA. I find this to have a bit of a watered down generic flavor for an APA. Calling it like it is- Its a beer made by a brew pub catering to the BMC crowd.

Tap in Schaumburg. Pours lightly hazy orange with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, toast, biscuit), heavy hops (citrus, herbal), and average fruity esters (apple/pear) with notes of pineapple and apricot. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and dry finish.

I thought this was a pretty good pale ale for a chain. Good balance and hop flavor not too much lingered in my mouth, hint of rye.

Tap @ Ram. Cloudy orange-brown pour with a short white head leaving minimal lace. Toast and grapefruit hop nose. Medium body with a solid, roasty-toasty malt body and resinous and lightly citrus hops which add a pleasant bitterness without much complexity. A solid APA and very sessionable.

Pale 71, or 71 Pale Ale. This is an American Pale Ale, well made by an American microbrewery.

Tasted on tap at the Fort Collins Horserooth location. Light pale, slightly hazy appearance. Slight hoppy aroma. For a pale ale, the malty character was pretty big. Not all that hoppy. Mediocre pale ale.
