3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale yellow in color. Wonderful apple pie spice; nutmeg, clove, light pear...all of those flavors carry out in the taste as well. Pretty delicious.
Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF
From draft flight at Ram Columbus on June 22, 2017. Cloudy orange hue, coriander nose, coriander/sweet malt flavor. More like a hefeweizen than a wit. shawnmurphy (495) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - JUN 28, 2017
On tap at brewpub at University Village in Seattle. Pours milky golden orange with spritz of white head and lacing. Aroma: clove, banana, orange, yeast. Flavor: all of the above, plus coriander. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, creamy. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAR 5, 2017
Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a burnt yellow color with a white finger’s worth of white foamy head. Slow dissipation. Some light messy lace.
The aroma had some citrus, coriander and a perfumey flowery sort of wheaty maltiness.
The flavor had some malty wheatiness, somewhat sweet up front. Floral and citrusy perfume qualities follow in underneath. Lingering floral to wheaty aftertaste rolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Nice carbonation and ABV felt as projected.
Overall, pretty good Americanized witbier worthy of more pours basically in the Summer if I could get it. Homer321 (5071) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUL 30, 2016
Draft at source. Nose is moderate citrus with ample coriander in the background. Not to perfumes but definitely there. Taste is a weird celery flavor initially followed by a citrus note. Something moderately off with this beer but I can’t quite point it out. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 27, 2015
On tap @ Ram - Kent. Hazed yellow pour with white foam. Some tangy lemon and a bunch of dried spices, particularly coriander and white pepper. Some crackery, biscuity malts, too. Slightly sweet, sort of tangy, and a bit on the fruity side. Mild spice astringency on the finish.

Draft - Sweet wheat and some spice. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet wheat and some coriander and citrus. Not bad. nuplastikk (6274) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 13, 2014
Sampler at Schaumburg. Hazy yellow-white. A pretty decent Wit. Leaning into the coriander and orange peel a little, but still a true example. Easy drinking, maybe a touch of oats. OK, could go lighter with the spices. arminjewell (9646) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Pour on tap at the brewpub, hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of slight white fruit, hints of biscuit, bread, slight coriander, touch of grassy notes, pretty standard wit. Taste is a mix of white fruit, grass, biscuit, slight yeasty, spicy notes, finishing sweet. VatMasterson (71) - Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2013
On Tap at The Ram Brewery in Chicago by the Woodfield Mall. A seasonal brew so its not in their $6.00 Sampler. Bartender said it would be a Belgian white ale. To my surprise it wasn’t just another Blue Moon or Shock Top. This one is the first brew that I have had that was a Lemon that I actually liked. Variety not as Orange. Rich in froth, yellow and very unfiltered. Great Aroma and not too hoppy. Very surprised I liked it. Recommended if you think you like this style. On tap at CB & Potts. Comes a hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, spice, and malt. Taste is lemon, coriander, malt, and yeast. Just OK.
