COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Draft to taster at Ram in Indy. Looks solid; a transparent burnt orange with eggshell head. Smells solid; nice juicy hops with a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells, but maltier. Average on the palate. Solid, but it smells better than it tastes.

Draught in a flight at the pub. Pours a cloudy dark amber color. Nose has some nice hoppiness to it, with some grapefruit notes coming through. The taste was bitter, and had that same spiciness I usually associate with rye in there. Decent drink.

Draft @ Downtown Indy RAM Cloudy, brown/amber with a short, off-white head. Caraamel, pine aroma. Taste is the same....mild malt... Very mild overall, not a standout.

Enjoyed on tap @ Ram in Salem, OR with Erick 1-17-14. Flavor is fairly mild, some weak hops, some carmelly light malt. Translucent red with weak head. 5.5 BD

Pours a slightly milky golden yellow with a sparse bright white head. Notes of caramel and grapefruit. Definite flavors of ruby red grapefruit. Sour palate that lasts quite a while. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12/15/2013. On tap. Mostly caramel aromas with hints of citrus and pine. Light hoppy flavors, but way too muted. Caramel mostly. Color is amber with a white head. Pretty plain.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, clear red pour with thin slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of grass, slight orange, grapefruit in there mixing into some slight spice, nice caramel and toffee in there, a bit weak. Taste is a mix of red fruits, some caramel, toffee, slight vanilla into spice, nice orange peel, grassy notes, finishing fairly bitter.

Surprisingly good. Citrus forward with a fresh hop bite. Nice malt backbone. Recommended! A- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours murky dark yellow with a small white head. Smell slight juicy citrus. Taste bitter, thick, and oily Thicker bodied. One dimensional and boring.

This is not a red. Very Hop driven and flowery. Notes of soap too. Unfair for me to say since this sort of thing ain’t my bag baby.
