COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Straw body with amber tint. Light caramel notes with some weak crystal and milled grain. Minimal sweetness with fruit notes. Light citrus and maybe a touch of pine. Very pedestrian but nothing offensive.

Draft at shaumburg. Aroma is mostly hops, grassy and floral. Taste is light nitter. Meh, nothing super special here. Drinkable but boring

Sampler at the Schaumburg RAM. Okay, maybe it’s because I’m chatting with the friendly brewmaster, but I’m really liking this stuff. That and the fact that a sampler "Curl" is $5, no matter how many samples are on it, and I have 10! So this is a derker amber color, and still has a good layer of foam although it’s been on the bar a while. Again, my nose was hampered by a cold and restroom soap, so just a general yes on the aroma. A large pine and resin hop note that swims to coat my soft palate. In other words, a hop goblin.

On tap at tulalip ram restaurant. Decent ipa with a mild balance of caramel malt and piney hops, from a hazy gold body.

Hazy orange yellow color. Not too red in appearance. Sticky white lacing. Mild lemon peel aroma. Slight earthy palate. Lingering bitter finish yet balanced. Not what I would call a red IPA but nice overall.

On tap at C.B. Potts Greenwood Village location. Pour is clear amber with a big white head and great lacing. Somewhat faint aroma - grass, caramel, bread, a touch if grapefruit peel, and earthy hops. Taste is very malty with a hoppy bite on the finish - spicy/dirty hops, light lemon, orange peel, perfume, toasted bread, and biscuit. Medium body with low carbonation. Below average IPA that could really benefit from some dry-hopping.

Hoppieat ram beer but not choppy. This one is light. Some citrus. Low bitterness, caramel.

Poured into a pint glass on tap. A dark amber red with very little head. Not much in terms of aroma. Medium hoppiness. Somewhat weak for the style. There is an unpleasant aftertaste that hangs in your mouth.

Decent ipa out of ram brewing. Very deep amber in color and has a nice amount if hopps and has a nice bitter taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours clear amber with thick, frothy off-white head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, cereal and caramel malts, dates, light woody notes, and light pine. Flavor is grassy and pine hops forward (medium bitterness), toasted malts, dark fruit esters, and light caramel; dry, bitter finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
