COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Draft at shaumburg. Aroma is mostly hops, grassy and floral. Taste is light nitter. Meh, nothing super special here. Drinkable but boring

Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a soft hazy copper color with a thin off white fizzy to semi-foamy head that dissipated fairly quick. Sly lace. The aroma had some sweet graininess up front and then floral hops. Toast, biscuits and some toffee maltiness. The flavor leaned towards the maltiness, somewhat sweet but straining the graininess along with the toast on into the fullness of this beer. Lingering malty aftertaste. Sly toast to floral to citrus finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation. ABV felt fine as projected. Overall, ok AIPA but thereís so many on the market these days and I donít know if this was supposed to lean to the American or the English side. Sometimes I feel like Iím just supposed to throw up my hands in this day and age.

Slightly hazy copper body with a minimal fizzy off-white head. The nose is husky and grainy with some toasted malt and minimal floral hoppiness. The flavor has an odd chemical finish after the husky and grainy malt fade. The hops are pretty minimal in here, just a light citrus note and minimal bitterness. Medium bodied and clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. This oneís not a winner.

draft at source. Hazy orange to light red pour with no head. Nose is a mix of caramel and light citrus. Taste is bordering on bread crust and toast with a moderate to strong bitterness. Watery mouthfeel and underwhelming hop flavor. A thin flat malt presence and an astringent pressed hop taste. Ehh

Draft. Hardly no smell. Palate is watery and wet and not a full body. The hops arenít very strong. What I can taste is citra mostly gratefruit taste. Poor ipa

Firkin offering at Alefort. grapefruit added to this, making it much more citrusy. However, I didnít think the fruit complemented the malt bill, making for a confused palate.

1.1 Light chestnut color. Oily fine bubbled head. Slight mahoganyesque taste, nutty in that way. Almost like a light amber overhopped. Citrusy (spicy like grapefruit) hops complimented by a nice touch of alcohol in the aftertaste.

Sampled at Ram-Rosemont, 10/26/15. Citrus and a bit of pine. Caramel notes. Rye bread. Medium bodied. Decent feel. Decent overall.

RAM Restaurant. Opaque red copper, white lacing foam ring. Hoppy aroma, bitter taste, initial sweet, changing quickly into bitterness. Lasting taste. (Chicago 201510)

On tap at Big Horn U District, pours a cloudy dirty amber with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of dank resinous hops, some herbal hops, and bready caramel. Flavour is a bit disjointed, with stale bready caramel malt and resinous hops. The balance isnít quite right, as there seem to be some strange flavours in here. Not a big fan, but itís not a disaster.

On tap @ Ram - Kent. Amber in color with some off-white foam. Probably their best beer, at least of the regular lineup. Thereís a lot of pine and citrus rind character along with some bread and toast. Definitely more caramel than Iíd like, though. Pretty floral and slightly grassy, too. Decent enough bitterness.
