COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

On tap at Ram brew pub. Cloudy light brown hued IPA having small white diminishing head with fair lacing. Light citrus aroma. No discernable carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied IPA that starts with slight sweet malt flavor with moderate bitterness and average length finish with dry bitter hop flavor. A good drinkable hoppy IPA that goes well with baby back BBQ ribs - hop heads take note.

Enjoyed on tap @ Ram in Salem, OR with Erick 1-17-14. Flavor is fairly mild, some weak hops, some carmelly light malt. Translucent red with weak head. 5.5 BD

On draft at Highland Ranch, Co. Slight orange/red color. Little head that disipates quickly. Decent hop aroma. I was expecting a Red at first and didn’t expect the hops. Medium bitterness is easy to drink as I proceed from sober to drunk. Not the best APA/IPA, but not the worst either.

Pretty decent IPA. Pours a dark amber color with an attractive fluffy white head that laced the glass nicely. This beer is lightly hoppy with a bitter finish.

Pours hazy golden with a small, nicely lacing white head. Nose is mellow grapefruit hops, faint creamy malt. Strong grapefruit hops flavor that segues into a short biscuity malt middle and finishes with a long, bitter finish that continues to taste of citrus. Pretty good.

24 oz. draft @ The Ram. Poured in an enormous plastic cup. Decent beer, though it’s red color was probably the best part about it. Went during happy hour which means I got 24 ounces for $2.72 which is a hell of a deal in Seattle. Better than bad.

Draft. Hardly no smell. Palate is watery and wet and not a full body. The hops aren’t very strong. What I can taste is citra mostly gratefruit taste. Poor ipa

On tap at brewpub at University Village in Seattle. Pours cloudy orange-gold with small creamy white head and lacing. Aroma: mango, tangerine, pineapple, orange, pine. Flavor: all of the above, but with a grainy finish and somewhat of a wet cardboard taste. Mouthfeel: medium- to full-bodied, somewhat astringent.

spikester (606) - Salem, Oregon, USA - DEC 13, 2008
From The Ram in Salem, Oregon. A growler fill. Pours a clear copper with a one finger off-white head. Good amount of lacing in the top half. Aroma is floral hops. Taste is citrus bitter hops with a decided grapefruit-orange flavor. The malts are decidedly in the background but sufficient for the style. Mouthfeel is good, fruity bitter finish. Drinkability is good but no abv to judge how many you could drink.
