Brassy gold appearance with a taste more reminiscent of an ESB than an IPA--which I just noticed is oddly explained in the above commercial description. In any case, not an IPA or an ESB that distinguishes itself--rather bland with a metallic taste to it. erway (1004) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JUL 26, 2004
Pours a deep amber with a lite head and very little aroma. Some diacetyl, crystal malts and oxidized hops but not much aroma. A very mild IPA with a very lite bitterness and hop flavor. My fiancee called it a "Chugger". 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAR 30, 2007
Growler: Hazy orange, golden tinge, moderate to large pillowy off-white head, decent lacing.   Nose of dull hops, slight grainy malts, a little musty.   Raw hop bitterness up front, a bit gritty and grainy.   Light malt backing, with a false back end.   Dies real quick on the backside, a bit thin.   Looked great, but seems a bit muddled.   Body and mouthfeel bordering on the thin side.   Finish is lacking.   Doesn’t follow through on the finish.   Meh... Growler from Ram. Red pour with white head. Lightly fruity hop aroma. Lightly bitter, fruity flavor. Medium mouthfeel, finishes hoppy. Pedestrian IPA. xproudfoot (750) - Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2006
Light floral citrus aroma. light gold beer. malty hop-meh-sock. moderate palate. OK.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a very small sized head of foamy finely sized clear colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent uncarbonated orange colored body and a oily lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - SEP 19, 2009

This bottled brew poured a small head of off-white colored fine to large sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a very good lace. The body was not noted. THe aroma was more like an ESB than an IPA, not hoppy enough. It had the flavor and mouth feel of a Pale Ale with a malt hop somewhat bitter finish.
On tap in Arlington. A little pine smell. Has a nice hoppy taste. Good IPA for what I was expecting from they’re other brews. rubbishystuff (2538) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 16, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2016 Had this a several Ram restaurants. Its a fine IPA. Hoppy enough to please the hop-heads but safe enough for folks just getting in to beer with the sampler tray. Serving: Tap GTAEgeek (2217) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2011
On tap at Humperdink’s. Pours a clear yellow with minimal head. The aroma is pine needles and hay. The flavor is unpleasantly bitter from front to finish, with little balance. The palate is medium and uneventful, with a long bitter aftertaste. Overall, this is a simple and underwhelming IPA. JoeM500 (1908) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - NOV 22, 2004
On tap at RAM, Schaumburg,IL: Dark amber with clumpy patches of white bubbles on top. Thin bodied, slightly caramelly middle, nice big citrus hops at the finish, but nothing upfront in the nose.
