Pint Fishers location arrived in a frozen glass - Aroma is fresh hops and carmel. Pours cloudy orange with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is fresh citrus hops that are nicely balanced with carmel and other malts. Palate is tart and smooth. Refreshing and tasty. cowboy7096 (64) - Arlington, Texas, USA - NOV 26, 2006
Had this on draft at humperdinks in Arlington, Texas. Pours a dark amber color with a small head. This pint I had last night didn’t seem as hoppy as it usually is, but most of the time it has a real nice hoppy taste with a nice fruity after taste. They actually call this one Big Red IPA at my location. Arnie (274) - Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA - JUL 30, 2007
On tap in a very well-priced sampler.Pale copper color, thick white head. Hops and lime/tropical fruit on nose. Thick in mouth, hoppy bite goes to pieny, almost too much, but still good. Tweety (377) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 18, 2009
On-tap at Humperdinks in Arlington, TX. I thought this was a pretty damn good IPA. Not overly hoppy, in fact a little less hops than I usually expect from an IPA, but it was quite tasty nonetheless. DrnkMcDermott (3141) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Sampler at the Schaumburg RAM. Okay, maybe it’s because I’m chatting with the friendly brewmaster, but I’m really liking this stuff. That and the fact that a sampler "Curl" is $5, no matter how many samples are on it, and I have 10! So this is a derker amber color, and still has a good layer of foam although it’s been on the bar a while. Again, my nose was hampered by a cold and restroom soap, so just a general yes on the aroma. A large pine and resin hop note that swims to coat my soft palate. In other words, a hop goblin.

On tap at Ram, Tacoma. It pours an unclear, dark orange body under some off-white to light beige head leaving curtains. Lots of pine cones in the aroma, not much maltyness kicking in. Fruityness and a touch of peaches too. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Quite dry, with a nice bitterness in the flavor, both initially and in the end. Some maltyness to back it up. Certainly a nice IPA, well worth a second and third glass. 130629 AWISLguy (3327) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Growler from the RAM in Wheeling, supplied by ck1 to the Mom-without-Bill tasting. Thanks bro! Has a nice aroma, fruity and pine. The taste does not following all the way. Would have another. shrubber85 (11622) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Tap. Sweet orange and grapefruit peel/pine aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/pine hops flavor. Good, standard IPA. dnstone (3552) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Floral hop aroma. Oramge-amber in color. Hoppy and caramel malty taste. A real clean finish, almost like an amber ale.
