COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most complex of our beer line-up with a combination of five different malts and four different hop varieties. Buttface has the broadest popular appeal of our beers. It has a high malt character and lack of evident hops. This surprises people because it is easy to drink, but has a higher alcohol content than what is perceived.

vipinvelp (4580) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2015
RAM Restaurant. Ruby in color, off-white foam head, only ring remaining. Sweet aroma and taste, only later on turning little bitter. Still OK beer. (Chicago 201510)

mcberko (19809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 26, 2015
On tap at Big Horn U District, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of caramel bready malt, very gentle hop aroma as well. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry bready malt, some toasted caramel and a touch of dry hops. Standard amber that is decently balanced but lacking character.

2.4
brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 28, 2015
On tap @ Ram - Kent. Clear darker amber colored beer with white foam. Mostly toffee malt, some bread, and grassy hops. A light nuttiness, some acidic grain, and red fruits. Kind of tastes like toast, caramel, and grape fruit snacks. Bitter earth and grass on the finish. Pretty meh amber ale and also just a ridiculous name.

2.4
BVery (11458) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Tap at the Schaumburg IL location. Mostly clear amber pour with no head. Aroma is sweet malts with a hint of Band-Aid. Earthy, or maybe just stale taste. Meh.

2.3
ramboraffe (2257) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 3, 2014
On tap at a restaurant in Forth Worth (forgot the name). Hazy brown with thin off white head. Smell is caramel malty. Taste is caramel and slightly nutty. Sweet with low bitterness and very low carbonation.

"the most boring beer in the six beer sampler. toffee malt is nice, but the hop presence is barely noticeable and there is little balance. no need to try again. pretty standard amber."

I keep a keg in the garage and drink 2-3 beers each day. I like to drink with large swallows spaced about 5 minutes apart. Given these personal peculiarities, I enjoy this beer more than most

3.5
foyle (435) - North Carolina, USA - APR 22, 2014
Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass Appearance: a sudsy off-white head slowly dissipates with nice lacing. Color is a deep amber with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma: rich roasted barley malt, a hint of coffee, some fruit and some mild herbal hops. Mouthfeel: light and watery, slightly astringent and a somewhat dry finish. Flavor: medium roasted barley, caramel, raisins, earthy and herbal bitterness. Overall: a pleasant and drinkable beer, represents the style well.

nuplastikk (6511) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 13, 2014
Sampler at Schaumburg. Chalky grey-brown body. Classic 90s brewpub style amber. Big chewy malt notes. Meh.

3.1
b3shine (9257) - Indiana, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Draft to taster at Ram in Indy. Looks decent; a completely transparent copper with very thin eggshell lacing. Smells and tastes mildly sweet and malty with notes of caramel. Average on the palate. An underwhelming example of ghe style.
