Draught in a flight at the pub. Pours a clear dark amber color. The nose on this was extremely light - I had to let it warm and swirl it around to get anything off it, and even then I only got some slight caramel notes. Taste was slightly toast. Overall, this was wholly inoffensive and unremarkable. Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Draft: at RAM, downtown Indy
Clear, deep wet copper with a small, off white head.
Caramel, nut aroma.
Caramel malt, fruit, earthy, likeable mild bittering.
Pretty good and straightforward. Beergeek23322 (2643) - Chester, Virginia, USA - DEC 15, 2013
12/15/2013. On tap. Amber color with a white head. No surprise here. Caramel aromas with light malt. light fruit, caramel and malty flavors with a semi-sweet finish. Nothing remarkable. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Pour on tap at the brewpub, clear red pour with thin white head, aroma is caramel, toffee, spice, toasted malt, hints of grass, slight touch of grain, hints of earth and biscuit notes as well, pretty decent. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, slight grass, hints of spice, finishing earthy, dry. Eh. Syzzer (736) - Oregon, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Enjoyed from On tap at the Ram brewery/restaurant in Salem, OR. This is an alright amber. High marks as an amber but definitely not a "red". Moderate malts, nice and smooth. Solid amber, light red in color. The head is a nice thick white foam. 5.8 BD

Clear Amber with an off white head.
Smell creamy caramel and a bit of toffee.
A bit of citrus up front, smooth grass and caramel after.
Light bodied, easy drinking.

Good overall color and head. Average aroma. More a classic Amber than a Red Ale, more malt than hops. Still balanced and roasty. Good with a Steak and Mushrooms. One of the Brewery’s two best for me. yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 29, 2013
On tap at Ram, Tacoma. It’s a pale amber colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is a tad buttery, and too much on the toffee side for my likings. Some pleasant malts and fruityness too. The flavor is pretty much the same, but with the added joy of bittering hops. Medium to full body, pleasant carbonation. Well, it’s not foul in any way, it’s just not my kind of amber. 130629 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Deep amber hued body with a thin white head. Light sweet grain notes with caramel hints. A bit watery. Some light bourbon notes. chris83282 (4) - - JUN 10, 2013 does not count
By far I think this is the best beer from Big Horn. Everytime I get a chance to go to C. B. & Potts I get this beer. They have good burgers also.
