COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most complex of our beer line-up with a combination of five different malts and four different hop varieties. Buttface has the broadest popular appeal of our beers. It has a high malt character and lack of evident hops. This surprises people because it is easy to drink, but has a higher alcohol content than what is perceived.

Dark amber red pour with minimal carbonation. Faint aroma of malt. Sweet and lightly hopped taste with a sticky mouthfeel. Sweet malt aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2007 On tap in a very well-priced sampler. Dark amber/light brown color. Mild nose with faint hints of malt. Smooth, silky malt flavor.

There’s some hop here that isn’t always present in an amber. Tastes of yeasty sweet malts and medium hops. Not a bad amber.

smells malty and corney, with a white head, and a dark amber color. The flavor is sickly sweet and malty witgh an acidic bite, vegtables, kinda a narsty taste.

A non-rememberable amber. A bit flat, thin on flavor, unimpressive. If you want a good amber, try Great Lake’s Eliot Ness instead, it is infinitely better.

This was a good one! on tap at brewery in chicago. Smells nutty and alcohol. Tastes nutty, crystal amber, little chocolate malt/specialty grains on tounge. Little willamette hops, spicy and no floral bouquet on tounge. Tastes like a replica of my irish red I brewed in Nov. Almost a typical ESB then an amber..

Had it on tap at the RAM as part of their sampler that they offer. It was pretty much on par with the other beers they had there. Kind of textbook.

Had this on tap at their restaurant. Pretty bland and uninteresting in all ways. Pass. Food was not very good, either.

Sweet and malty up front with a good citrusy hop flavor and bitterness. This was my favorite of the sampler.
