Sweet and malty up front with a good citrusy hop flavor and bitterness. This was my favorite of the sampler. highibus (820) - Vail, Arizona, USA - JUL 25, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2009 Lightly sweet hoppy aroma. Nice amber color with little head. Light carmel and malty flavor. Nice smooth finish. VatMasterson (71) - Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2013
Good overall color and head. Average aroma. More a classic Amber than a Red Ale, more malt than hops. Still balanced and roasty. Good with a Steak and Mushrooms. One of the Brewery’s two best for me. kosmoken (37) - USA - APR 10, 2007
On tap at C.B. Potts, Broomfield CO. Poors a light amber, and has a mild sweet taste to it. Smooth finish. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAY 19, 2007
12oz bottle-pours a foamy light tan head and copper color. Aroma is mild medium malt-caramel. Taste is medium malt-caramel/toasty, fruit-cherry, secondary spicy hops. OK carbonation.

On tap at the Ram/Big Horn in Rosemont, IL. Pours a coppery red amber brew with an average off-white head that dissolves to a fine film and good lacing. Aroma of light caramel, toffee, mild malt, and a touch of citrus hops. Taste is medium body, lightly carbonated with a slight hop bite. Finish is sweet with a touch of citrus peel dryness. I liked this amber. It was pretty good. A nice balance, however slightly muted. Deep dark reddish brown mahogany color with a fluffy head. mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - APR 18, 2010
Some times I am a man of few words. This beer was good. Travlr (24260) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 16, 2011
Draft at Humperdinks in Arlington, TX. One of the few drinkable beers of the evening. Clear chestnut color. Caramel aroma. Taste is chocolate and coffee grounds. Nice body. mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 15, 2016
woah, looks pretty dark brown for an amber. no head. on draft at Rams in Northgate mall. Love the aroma, almost like chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Tastes like it smells but no roasted flavor really. nice carbonation pop to it. Some of the more nutty flavors taste "young."
