COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most complex of our beer line-up with a combination of five different malts and four different hop varieties. Buttface has the broadest popular appeal of our beers. It has a high malt character and lack of evident hops. This surprises people because it is easy to drink, but has a higher alcohol content than what is perceived.

OutHouseDilemma (70) - Crowley, Texas, USA - JUN 2, 2005
Draft in Alrington, TX This was one of the best brews of the night out of the 8 beers I tried. Really has no new taste that grabs me, tastes like most ambers.

KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - JUL 23, 2005
On tap at Humperdink’s Addison, TX. Pours honey-gold, like a nice glass of whisky. Aroma has hints of chocolate and malt. Medium-bodied mouthfeel. The flavor is more reminiscent of an IPA than an amber, but it still retains a nice toast flavor with a decent balance between the sweetness and the sourness.

Sweet and malty up front with a good citrusy hop flavor and bitterness. This was my favorite of the sampler.

Good overall color and head. Average aroma. More a classic Amber than a Red Ale, more malt than hops. Still balanced and roasty. Good with a Steak and Mushrooms. One of the Brewery’s two best for me.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy light tan head and copper color. Aroma is mild medium malt-caramel. Taste is medium malt-caramel/toasty, fruit-cherry, secondary spicy hops. OK carbonation.

Skyview (6099) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 6, 2007
On tap at the Ram/Big Horn in Rosemont, IL. Pours a coppery red amber brew with an average off-white head that dissolves to a fine film and good lacing. Aroma of light caramel, toffee, mild malt, and a touch of citrus hops. Taste is medium body, lightly carbonated with a slight hop bite. Finish is sweet with a touch of citrus peel dryness.

mintzmeet (458) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 15, 2016
woah, looks pretty dark brown for an amber. no head. on draft at Rams in Northgate mall. Love the aroma, almost like chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Tastes like it smells but no roasted flavor really. nice carbonation pop to it. Some of the more nutty flavors taste "young."

jsmerig (1665) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2017 Pours a clear brown Amber. Notes of malt and smoke in the taste. Mouthfeel more thin but finish is dry.
