The most complex of our beer line-up with a combination of five different malts and four different hop varieties. Buttface has the broadest popular appeal of our beers. It has a high malt character and lack of evident hops. This surprises people because it is easy to drink, but has a higher alcohol content than what is perceived.

Dradt taster at RAM, Schaumburg. Brown beer with plenty of light edges. No foam after Ive gotten to it on the sampler tray. American hop notes finally come through my stuffy nose. Yet its the malt that leaves the first impression on my tongue. Followed by a tangy caboose of bitterness. Pleasing fruity esters keep the hops from taking over.

Pours a clear dark amber body with a small wispy beige head. The nose is sweet caramel and toasty malt with just a hint of hops. The flavor is pretty off though, a weird grape like fruitiness that dominates the malt, especially on the finish. Lacking in hops, and slightly husky. Medium bodied and a little clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Not the best, this one.

Draft at Boise brewery.Pretty bland.l Light, clear amber. Faint aroma and taste, genetic maltiness. Not much of a finish. Just all around weak.

Draft at source. Aroma of nutty bread and bread crust. Brownish red pour. Initially s bitter husky flavor followed by an underwhelming flat and thin mouthfeel. Tastes like bitter watered down coffee

APPEARANCE- very dark amber color. Light beigh head. NOSE- slightly malty scent, nothing overwhelming. FLAVOR- slightly bitter at the start of the sip, maltiness comes through at the end. I dont love the aftertaste.

woah, looks pretty dark brown for an amber. no head. on draft at Rams in Northgate mall. Love the aroma, almost like chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Tastes like it smells but no roasted flavor really. nice carbonation pop to it. Some of the more nutty flavors taste "young."

RAM Restaurant. Ruby in color, off-white foam head, only ring remaining. Sweet aroma and taste, only later on turning little bitter. Still OK beer. (Chicago 201510)

On tap at Big Horn U District, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of caramel bready malt, very gentle hop aroma as well. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry bready malt, some toasted caramel and a touch of dry hops. Standard amber that is decently balanced but lacking character.

On tap @ Ram - Kent. Clear darker amber colored beer with white foam. Mostly toffee malt, some bread, and grassy hops. A light nuttiness, some acidic grain, and red fruits. Kind of tastes like toast, caramel, and grape fruit snacks. Bitter earth and grass on the finish. Pretty meh amber ale and also just a ridiculous name.

Tap at the Schaumburg IL location. Mostly clear amber pour with no head. Aroma is sweet malts with a hint of Band-Aid. Earthy, or maybe just stale taste. Meh.
