On Tap at The Ram / Boise A cloudy pale light yellow with excellent white head and very nice lacing that was still on the glass when it was finished. Aroma and flavor was of the German hef with the clove/banana spiciness. Fairly soft carbonation and a soft unfiltered feel. Not bad

Cloudy golden color with a citrus aroma. I added a wedge of lemon that took on a life of it’s own. Citrus with cloves and bananna overtones that confuse the palate. I liked this beer, but then again I like a good hefe and this was a good hefe.

On Tap: at The Ram in Meridian. Typical murky yellow color with a white head and sticky lacing. Aromas and taste of overly fermented wheat. Other aromas of oats and honey with a mildly citrus aftertaste.

Hazy yellow color with no head. Slight banana aroma. Flavor is predominantly dry wheat with some muddled fruit lurking in the background.

StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 19, 2005
Schaumburg. Semi-hazy and pale yellow in color with a short creamy white head. Banana, cloves and vanilla bear the brunt of the aroma with some lemons and yeast lingering in the background. Nice creamy and effervescent feel. Lemons shine in the beginning, transitioning to a slight searing sense. Smooth vanilla and a dash of pepper - paired with unripe bananas - finish things up. Decent.

SuIIy (1983) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - AUG 21, 2005
Draft. Pours very cloudy, dark yellow. Nose is fruity like bananas and oranges. Taste is banana with lots of bubblegum, oranges and lemons.

Sweet, small head that disappears almost immediately. Clove, orangeymalt aroma. Very light mouthfeel, mildy hoppy. Not much to this, but a drinkable beer.

JoshuaB (476) - Detroit, Michigan, USA - AUG 14, 2005
Murky golden color with fluffy white head. Aroma is all about cloves and bananas, as well is the taste. A bit of a thicker body than I was expecting, but this was a decent brew from a generic suburban chain brewpub.

KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - JUL 23, 2005
Pours a slighty cloudy yellow, but needs more haze. Aroma is clove and banana. The flavor starts promising with banana and slight bubblegum, but finishes weak and flat. Thick mouthfeel. Needs more assertiveness in the finish to be better.

Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 4, 2005
Cloudy orange haze. Light estery aroma with hints of fruit (orange, banana.) Nutty and sweet malts flavors, quite balanced, with banana, clove and orange flavors, along with a hint of vanilla. A pretty nice recipe for a hefe and this batch was brewed quite well.
